Mommy & Me: (1 hour class) This class is for children under the age of 4. Parents are urged to become involved and interact with the children. This class is designed to show children the basic fundamentals of gymnastics. [3 separate classes]Tuesday: 2-3pm, Thursday: 2-3pm, Saturday: 10-11am

Kinder gym: (1 hour) This class is for children 4-6 years old. Fundamentals of gymnastics are taught. Classes include: balance beam, floor, rings, and games. [3 separate classes]Tuesday: 3-4pm, Thursday: 3-4pm, Saturday: 11am-12noon

Girls Level One: (1 hour) This class is for children 6-10 years of age. This is a beginners class. Children are taught the fundamentals of gymnastics and are working on their way to level two. Class includes: bars, floor, vault, and balance beam. [3 separate classes] Tuesday 4-5pm, Thursday 6-7pm, Saturday 12-1pm

Girls Level Two: (1 hour) This class is for children 6-12 years old. This is a more advanced class. Level one is needed to advance to level two. Classes include: bars, floor, vault, beam. [3 separate classes]Tuesday 5-6pm, Thursday 6-7, Saturday 12-1pm (combined with level one)

Boys Level One: (1 hour) This class is for young boys (6-10 years old) that want to continue with gymnastics. Kinder gym is encouraged, but not a requirement. Class includes: vault, rings, floor, and bars. Tuesday 6-7pm

Tumbling Level One: (1 hour) Ages: 6-10. This class is designed for children that want to learn how to tumble but do not want to learn everything about gymnastics. (This is a good class for beginning cheer). Children will learn the fundamentals for tumbling (cartwheels, headstand, forward/backwards rolls, etc.) [2 separate classes]Thursday 4-5pm, Saturday 1-2pm

Tumbling Level Two: (1 hour) Ages: 8-12. This class is for more advanced students. Must take tumbling level one to continue to level two. Level two picks up where level one left off. A hands-on adventure in rock climbing. You learn tying knots, climbing commands and signals. Each week you climb in Riverview's own specialized climbing gym, featuring 16 foot high walls with overhangs, cracks, pockets, edges, pinches, underclings, and slopers.

Become part of your favorite Fairy Tale!Children will be read a different fairytale each week, create props/crafts and work towards a performance at the end of the week. Lots of fun and creativity are emphasized in this beginning drama class. At the end of the one week session, children get to perform for parents and seniors at the Rasmussen Senior Center. Seniors at the center will be encouraged to volunteer with the children.

Thanks to Kaiser Permanente and the “Operation Splash” program, 150 deserving community members will receive

swim lessons, 250 will receive season passes and 10 kids will participate in Guard Start lifeguard training– making this

summer safer, healthier and more fun than ever!

Learn to teach children and adults water safety, survival and swimming skills, and give community water safety presentations. It’s a fun job that will help you develop teaching and leadership skills. Students must be at least 16 years old on or before the final scheduled lesson of this course; complete the Fundamental of Instructor Training course and demonstrate and perform the following swimming skills: 25 yards of front crawl, back crawl, breastroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke, and 15 yards of butterfly. Students must also maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water floating or sculling and tread water for 1 minute.
