Since Mount Olive has so many great things to offer, are they available only during summermonths?No, Mount Olive has worked hard to build a year round youth service program that is geared toward out ofschool time starting with The OASIS program, Olive After School Inspiring Success, is a tutorial service avail-able for students and families enrolled in the Dougherty County School System. We serve a super snack andoffer Homework Help Mon-Thurs from 2:30-5:30pm during the school year. Then there is also a camp availablefor almost every time the students have a school holiday including Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, andof course Summer Break. The fees are affordable for a full day of fun. All camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm. There is also the M.O.S.T which is Mount Olive’s Sports Team AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) boy’s 14 and under basketball team. This team is comprised of youngboys from various schools from the Dougherty Country School System and surrounding counties. The intent of this program is to enforce positive influences, self-confidence, self-esteem, and the ability to excel on and off the court. The M.O.S.T. program is dedicated to educate and motivate each member while encouragingteamwork, sportsmanship and fun through the spirit of basketball. This program allows these young men to travel abroad the East Coast of the United States ofAmerica to participate in various basketball tournaments and showcase their talent

School’s out and summer’s in at the Flint RiverQuarum! This summer ispacked with activities for the entire family.

Children’s activities include Adventures in Science and Nature SummerCamps with several themed weeks to choose from, as well as the ongoingprograms, Discovery Days for elementary ages on the first and third Sundaysof each month and Tadpole Time for preschoolers every third Wednesday.Both feature themed activities, crafts and animal encounters.

The entire family will enjoy Third Thursdays with $5 admission from 5-8 p.m.on the third Thursdays in June and July, Science After Sunset which featuresinformative programs presented by the curatorial staff, a series of guidedsummer canoe trips, free admission for Dad on Father’s Day, special July 4pricing and joint admission to Thronateeska, daily dive shows in the blue hole,

This park surrounds a 375-acrelake that has become a major boating andwaterskiing attraction in south Georgia.Fishing for bass, crappie, catfish andbream is excellent. Watchful visitors maysee waterfowl, the threatened gopher tor-toise and indigo snake, and other crea-tures. However, the park's most famousresidents are the thousands of black vul-tures and turkey vultures that arrive in late

November and stay through early April,making this park the largest winter vultureroost in Georgia. Reed Bingham is lessthan six miles from I-75, making it a relax-ing stop for travelers.

Gardens is located about three miles southof downtown albany. In the 1920's RadiumSprings had a hotel and spa that was visit-ed by northern visitors. Radium Springs isthe largest spring in the state of georgia,and 70,000 gallons of water per minuteflow from the spring. It has a unique sap-phire blue color and is named after thetrace elements of radium that flow from thespring. In 2003 a flood destroyed the1920's hotel. Today the springs have been

Chehaw has something for everyone, from our Wild Animal Park to BMX, there is anactivity that is bound to spark your interest. There are also multiple groomed bike trails alongwith a mile walking loop that winds through some of the most scenic areas the park. Also available during the summer months are a variety of summer camps. Each camplasts one week between May 30th and July 29th. Themes vary based on age brackets forchildren between 5-12 years of age and include the themes Zookeepers 101, CampZoovivor, Wacky Ones, Dinosaurs, and Holidays.
