“ I enjoyed meeting people from other countries. We all lived together in one place, and became friends. I learned French and the activities were so much fun.”
— Daniel, Grade 9 (Mexico)
his unique, educational, enriching, and fun-filled French immersion experience takes
place on campus at the Université de Moncton. The camp is open to students participating in the New Brunswick French International Program (grades 7 to 12) in September, as well as those looking for a camp-only experience.
Most participants are from Latin America, Asia and Europe. In addition to learning or improving their French language skills, they will discover the remarkable history and rich culture of the French-speaking Acadians living in Eastern Canada. They also get the chance to make new friends, and to familiarise and acclimatise themselves for their extended stay in our province.
T For three hours each morning, certified French teachers engage the students in a stimulating and interactive learning environment. In the afternoons and evenings they take part in outdoors and cultural activities and visit local tourist attractions, such as Hopewell Rocks and the magnificent Bay of Fundy, hiking, climbing, fishing expeditions, as well as National Acadian Day festivities. There’s also some time for shopping.
Accommodations and security: Participants live in residence, in a safe on-campus environment. They’re supervised by several camp counsellors, and travel by bus to all activities and excursions.
