Your child’s time at the Manhattan Academy Infant Center will continue to be filled with magical discoveries, developmental achievements, strides in independence and, of course, constant affection!
This remarkable program will provide your children the opportunity to socialize and expose them to various cognitive and creative activities to spark their interest. Although all infants have their own individual schedules, each of their days at Manhattan Academy share common features. All our infants will participate in developmentally appropriate experiences such as water play, art, music and movement, story time, block play, baby massages, tummy time activities, and much more. Each activity will provide frequent opportunities to promote growth in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive.
Academy infants will enjoy outdoor playtime (please
remember sunscreen and hat!) with the multitude of outdoor play
equipment we have, including water play!
To participate in our Infant summer program, you must have
applied and been accepted for the fall 2020 term.

We provide a beautiful environment year-round for our toddlers
to explore and develop at their individual pace. The toddlers and young preschoolers will continue to work on socialization, toileting, and using the Montessori materials created especially for little hands. These materials help the children gain independence, increase hand-eye coordination, and develop a positive self-image.
This summer, we have many exciting adventures planned for our young students. We will continue with our Montessori morning lessons, followed by enticing art projects, cooking projects, bubbles, waterplay Fridays, and much more! During this warm and sunny summer, our young students will have a blast learning about their outdoor environment through a hands-on experience!
Here is what our campers have planned:
Week 1: Shark Week Every Tuesday: Bounce House Week 2: Rainbow Rocks Every Friday: Water Play Week 3: Red, White, & Blue Week 4: Outer Space Week 5: Down on the Farm Week 6: Imaginarium
Week 7: Olympics Week 8: Olympics Week 9: Around the World Week 10: Summer Extravaganza
Important Information! You may choose a mornings-only program 9:00a.m-11:30a.m for toddler and 9:00am- 12:00pm for primary transition; however, in keeping with our Montessori tradition, children must attend five days per week for consistency. Because children of this age group thrive on routine; we highly recommend all students attend our summer program. Students do not have to be toilet-trained. There is no diapering fee.
(3-6 years old)
The world awaits our young students here at Manhattan Academy! Here, our mornings revolve around the traditional Montessori work period, helping our students gain confidence in their academic skills, especially in the areas of math and language. Children will also get the opportunity to explore the outdoors with our outdoor environment class, here they will work in their vegetable garden, water their flowers,
learn about composting, and more!
Afternoons will include plenty of fun time outside in the California sun (don’t forget the sunscreen!). Afternoon play includes free time on the playground, organized games on the field, and water play days where children can play on the waterslide and swim in our pool! This summer, we will also have “beach parties”, craft projects, and other fun activities.
