MARY FOREMAN has been sewing since she was 13 years of age. During her tenure as Costumes Shop Supervisor for RVC Starlight & Studio Theatres, Mary began her teaching career. Also during this time, she has sewn for bridal parties ranging from 3 to 25 atten-dants, brides maids, and flower girls. For the past 6 years she has led combined level classes (no experience to advanced sewing skills).

Chinese Brush Painting (Middle School-Adult) Enjoy a one-day workshop learning the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting. You will learn traditional and contemporary techniques, such as wet-in-wet, dry brush, and glaze. You will learn different styles of painting, contour and spontaneous styles. Subjects demonstrated for first session are: eagle with pine tree,vegetables with basket, birds on bamboo, horses, and carp/koi with lily pads--for second session are: rooster, hen and chicks with bamboo, grapes with vines, dragon flies with plum blossoms, mountain cliffs with travelers and donkeys, and swans with wisteria. There will be a discussion after each subject you paint. A Supply Kit ($25) can be purchased from the instructor.

Needle Felting with Alpaca Fiber(Adult) Beginner and beyond. In this class you will learn and basics of needle felting, and some advanced needle felting techniques also. For this class we will be felting with alpaca fiber. Needle felting is a method of creating figures and sculptures with wool or fleece by meshing the fibers together using a single

barbed needle. When you leave this class you will have a 3-dimensional needle felted figure to take home with you, and you will have the knowledge to make other needle

WIND RIDGE HERB FARM The certified Naturally Grown display gardens at Wind Ridge Herb farm are the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing tour, or browse through the greenhouses for organic/naturally grown herb products, organic and heirloom herb and vegetable plants. The farm grows over 400 varieties of culinary and medicinal herbs without the use of chemical fertilizers, artificial dyes, preservatives, or additives. The farm harvests, inspects, dries and packages herbs in order to guarantee quality and freshness. In addition they offer herbal teas, dips, and vinegars all made with organic ingredients custom blended with taste and health in mind.

Seasonal Constellations & Stars(Adult) Attention experienced and amateur astronomers! Cassiopeia, Draco, Ursa Major -- these bright North Polar constellations can be seen with the unaided eye in clear night skies. Depending upon the season, they are joined by other constellations such as Pegasus, Auriga, Orion, Bootes and asterisms such as the Summer Triangle and Winter Hexagon.
