Saint George Church in Oia
The Church of Saint George in Oia is located at the entrance of Oia Village.It is made of the traditional Santorini colors and has a large courtyard.
Not casually the church has such a name. The most common male name in Oia is George. It means that the name day of the church is magnificent.

Panagia Episkopi Cathedral
Assumption of Virgin Mary Byzantine church is located in Mesa Gonia Village.It is believed that it was erected by the Byzantine emperor Alexios I Komnenos in the 11th century. From the archaeological point of view, this church is an important Byzantine architectural monument that belongs to UNESCO treasure.
Its magnificent carved iconostasis made of blue marble has rare beauty. That is why all visitors of the island keep it in their hearts.
Believers can worship the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary (the icon "The Sweet kissing Mary”). It, fortunately, was not stolen in the robbery of the church in 1982.
Frescoes, decorating the church, are also the typical samples of the Byzatine art. And they are still in quite good condition.

Anastasi Church (Resurrection Church) in Imerovigli
The Anastasi Church in Imerovigli has already become a visit card of the island.
It is situated in the very heart of the village. The church has an impressive bell tower and a beautiful church courtyard overlooking the Volcano.
It is very cozy and perfect for small & medium size weddings.

Panagia Platsani Church in Oia
Panagia Platsani Church is situated in the very heart of the village of Oia which is consisted to be most picturesque village of Santorini Island. Earlier the church was on the territory of an ancient fortress. Now most tourists enjoy the sunset from there.
After the earthquake of July 9, 1956, the building was destroyed and later rebuilt in its current location. The church is decorated with an iconostasis from Russia, dated 1820.
It faces the sea blessing ships and their sailors for safe sea trips and returns home.

Metropolitan Cathedral Fira
Metropolitan church is situated in Fira which is the capital town of Santorini island.This orthodox church was built in 1827. In 1956, it suffered from an earthquake, and was later rebuilt.
Outside, the building is decorated with many elegant arches. It has an impressive bell tower. There is also a mosaic, dated 1975.
The interior of the cathedral is decorated with frescoes. They were created by a local artist Christoforos Assimis.
