Artists of the Month: JANUARY

Jared Coglianese

Grade Level: 7 Current Art Class: 3D Art

Why he was selected: Jared is a hard worker and has a concrete

vision for each project. He inspires us with his ideas, perseverance,

skill, and positive attitude.

Favorite kind of art: Representational Graphite Drawings and Paper

Mache.

What inspires his artwork: “My Imagination.”

Other hobbies/interests: Ballroom, gymnastics, writing, reading,

Legos, and stop motion videos.

Advice for others: “Don’t give up on your project. It might not look

like the subject at first, but if you keep trying, it will turn out. Also,

don’t listen to negative comments; remember you are the artist.”

Tips that really helped his artwork: “Focus on the picture, not what

you know. This has helped my artwork look more realistic.”

Linnea Lisper

Grade Level: Junior (11) Current Art Class: Art 1B

First realized she liked art: “I guess that I’ve always liked it. It’s

something that has always been an interest of mine.”

Favorite kind of art: “I do photography, ceramics, painting and

drawing. My favorite is probably painting because I love working with

color.”

Favorite piece of artwork she has created: “I made this huge painting

of a tree when I was in 9th grade. It hangs at my Dad’s apartment.

Most people think that I bought it and then just added my signature.”

Other hobbies/interests: Sports and nature. “I am really into natural

body care; how I should take care of myself and what is best for my

body.”

What she likes most about art: “I like to create and art is just a really

good field to develop that.”

Artists of the Month: FEBRUARY

Robert Hull

First realized he liked art: “In 8th grade I drew a really cool picture of a combine. I realized it had a ton of detail and I became interested in art.”

Favorite piece of artwork he has created: “I really like a photo I have taken of a quadtrac pulling a disk through the field. The detail is amazing.”

Other hobbies/interests: Riding dirt bikes in the summer. “One of my other hobbies is actually operating farm equipment. It gives me time to think on pretty much anything I want.”

What he likes most about art: “When your project is done, you can reflect back on it. Your project is your memory. The project reminds you of what you did and what you can do. I think it is fun to know your abilities.”
