Gen, Awad Ibin Ouf as a Minister of Defence The President of the Republic of the Sudan, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Bashir has lauded the Sudanese-Yemeni bilateral relations, describing it as historical. Al-Bashir in a joint press conference held, Saturday, Aug. 29th 2015 at the Republican Palace, in the end of his official talks with the visiting Yemeni President, Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, indicated that the talks discussed the general situations in Yemen where the Yemeni president affirmed that the situa- tions in his country are progressing well. Al-Bashir pointed out that Sudan supported the Decisive Storm Coalition to restore legitimacy to Yemen, saying that the recent situa- tion in the Yemeni arena necessitates the contribution of all, concerning the reconstruction and strengthening of the legitimacy.. (SUNA) The deliberations of the 3rd meetings of the General Assembly of the National Dialogue started, Thursday evening 19th August 2015 at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum under the chairmanship of President Omar Bashir. Eighty three political parties take part in the meeting, representing the opposition and govern- ment of national Unity parties. The meeting is also attended by 50 promi- nent national personalities, agreed upon, as well as five national personalities who will work as facilitators, beside 20 experts in the various domains related to the works, secretariat and other activi- ties of the National Dialogue. This came during a meeting at his office Tuesday August 11th 2015 with two PETRONAS' Deputy Chairpersons, who are on a visit to the country during these days to follow up the company's business in its regional headquar- ters in Sudan. The meeting discussed aspects of coopera- tion between the Ministry of Oil and Gas and PETRO- NAS. (SUNA) The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Nairobi organized a meeting for Sudan vice president Mr. Hasabu Mohammed Abdel Rahman with the Sudanese community in Nairobi on Tuesday 11th of August 2015 at the residence of H.E. Al-Sadig Abdalla Elias the Ambassador of Sudan to Kenya. The vice president briefed the Sudanese community in Nairobi about the current political situation in Sudan. The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Nairobi organized meetings for the Sudan Secretary General for Diaspora Ambassador Haj Majid Mohammed Al-Suwar with the Sudanese community in Mombasa and Nairobi on Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd of August 2015 respectively. The meetings aimed at discussing the issues of National Com- munity Dialogue as well as the challeng- es facing the Sudanese community in Kenya. The event in Nairobi attended by H.E. Al-Sadig Abdalla Elias the Ambassador of Sudan to Kenya and the Embassy staff, the Sudanese community in Nairobi headed by Mr. Abdulwahab Al –Sinari and the staff of the Sudanese School in Nairobi. The meetings were productive and fruitful. The Sudan Secretary General for Dias- pora Ambassador Haj Majid Moham- med Al-Suwar on Thursday 20th August, 2015 visited the Sudanese School in Nairobi accompanied by H.E. Al-Sadig Abdalla Elias the Ambassador of Sudan to Kenya and some of the Embassy staff as well as the head of the Sudanese community in Nairobi Mr. Abdulwahab Al -Sinari. The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Nairobi organized a farewell party at the premises of the Embassy on Friday 7th August, 2015 for Mr. Hamad Mudawi, the communication attaché at the Embassy on the occasion of the end of his term of office duty. The event attended by the ambassador of Sudan to Kenya H.E. Al-Sadig Abdalla Elias and the staff of the Embassy. During the event, Mr. Khalid Abdel Wahab the new communication attaché received a warm welcome from the ambassador and the staff of the embassy. The Chairman of the Egyptian Land and dry Ports Corporation has announced that the Egyptian-Sudanese trade exchange jumped to 6 billion Egyptian pounds, from 4 billion Egyptian pounds, at an increase of 20% with the virtue of the openness in the relationship between the two countries, espe- cially after opening the land route that connects Sudan with Egypt. He said, in a statement after his arrival in Khartoum Monday August 24th 2015 leading the Egyptian delegation of the Land and dry Ports Corporation, that the relations between the two countries witnessed progress and development under the guidance and attention of the two leaderships to achieve the Sudanese- Egyptian integration. (SUNA) President of the Republic of the Sudan, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Monday Aug. 17th 2015 returned home after his participation at the IGAD quartet summit on peace in South Sudan State. In a press statement at Khartoum Airport, the Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour said that the opposition, youth, students and the 10-man group of South Sudan have signed theIGAD peace document, while the government of South Sudan has signed the agreement initially, provides that it will give its final view within the coming days. He said that the participation of Sudan at the two summits for realizing peace in South Sudan State was important due to its location, historical ties and relations with the disputing parties in South Sudan. (SUNA) The president of the Republic of the Sudan, Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahamed al Bashir, on Sunday 23rd Aug. 2015 issued a Republican Decree appointing Lt. Gen. Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibin Ouf, as the Minister for National Defense. (SUNA)

The President of the Republic of the Sudan, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Bashir has lauded the Sudanese-Yemeni bilateral relations, describing it as historical. The Minister of Oil and Gas Dr. Mohamed Awad Zayid has reviewed coop-eration with the Malay-sian PETRONAS Oil Company (Sudan), laud-

ing the Malaysian partnership with Sudan in the oil sector. This came during a meeting at his office Tuesday August 11th 2015 with two PETRONAS' Deputy Chairpersons, who are on a visit to the country during these days to follow up the company's business in its regional headquar-ters in Sudan. The Chairman of the Egyptian Land and dry Ports Corporation has announced that the Egyptian-Sudanese trade exchange jumped to 6 billion Egyptian pounds, from 4 billion Egyptian pounds, at an increase of 20% with the virtue of

The Presidents of Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan Sunday Aug. 16th 2015 held a close-door meeting at Sheraton Addis Ababa as part of the IGAD efforts to achieve solution for the dispute in South Sudan State. On Saturday evening, the leaders of Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda held a tripartite summit, which reviewed the efforts of the countries that are neigh-boring to South Sudan for solving its prob-lem. Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Chad and Algeria were added by the African Union to join the IGAD group of Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya and Uganda, while the IGAD partners' group includes Britain, the United States and Norway. The Vice - President of the Republic of the Sudan, H.E. Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, has lauded the African Union and its clear-cut stances concerning the International Criminal Court (ICC), which is targeting the African leaders

The First Vice - President, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, Wednesday Aug. 26th 2015 evening returned to Khartoum from Juba after attending the signing of South Sudan government to the peace agreement which was sponsored by the IGAD and approved by the African Union.Signing of the peace agreement by South Sudan President, Salva Kiir, and the former South Sudan Vice - President, Dr. Riek Machar, is considered the first step for ending the armed conflict in South Sudan State, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Kamal Ismail, said adding that the signing of the peace agree-ment in Juba was attended by the First Vice - President, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, the Presidents of Kenya and Uganda and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, besides representatives of countries and organizations. (SUNA)

Addressing the East Africa Summit for Support to Dialogue, Respect of the other and Democracy in Nairobi on Wednesday 12th August 2015, Hassabo said that the African Union is a forum for boosting the African principles, enabling the participation, strengthen-ing the cooperation and integration and realizing the dream of the African United States. The Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, has welcomed the visit of the delegation of the African Peace and Security Council, affirming that the delegation members will have all coop-eration from the officials whom they will meet in Khartoum and Darfur.During his meeting with the delegation of the African Peace and Security Coun-cil on Wednesday Aug. 19th 2015, the Foreign Minister said that when Sudan has accepted the joint UN and African Union Mission for Darfur, it stipulated that the role of the African Union shall be exceeding to that of the United Nations, indicating that the UNAMID is an African operation, adding that the role of the UN is to provide financial and logis-tic support only. The Imam of Azahar Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb has received the Minister for Orientation and Endowment, Fatih Tajj El Sir, within the context of the contacts between the Sudan and the Azahar. Ambassador Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Hameed, Sudan's ambassador to Cairo, attended the meeting which held on 18th August 2015. He said the sheikh of Azahar has commended the historic relations linking the two countries and the historic and effective role played by the Sudan in cementing moderate Islam-ic principles. The minister has mean-while expressed appreciations for the comments made by the Sheikh saying the two sides play an important role in combating all forms of fundamentalism and extremism and in educating youth against such trends and bring them to serve their communities. The Assistant of the President of the Sudan, the Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for Party Affairs, Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid has affirmed Sudan's keen-ness to develop its economic relations with China in all fields. Hamid who met on Thursday Aug. 20th 2015, at his office, the Chinese delegation headed by the Direc-tor of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center, an affiliate of the Chinese Agriculture Ministry, has

affirmed the government's readiness to remove all the obstacles and provide the requested facilitations for the Chinese agricultural investors. (SUNA)

The Director General of the White Nile Sugar Company Hassan Satti unveiled on August 2nd 2015 that the company plan to produce 450, 000 tons a year as part of the plan adopted by the Board of Directors. Addressing the Ministry of Industry, in the presence of the Minister of Industry Dr. Mohamed Yousuf, Satti stressed the need for a stable policies for the commodity of sugar in

the parallel market as well as provision of funds to the sector and modern technolo-gies to come out with the best productivity and best cultivation during the next five years. (SUNA)

Sudan has been elected as the Deputy Chairman of the International Passenger Road Transport Union (IPRU) during the General Assembly of the Union which held in Istanbul - Turkey on August 24th 2015. The Co-chairman of the Federation of the Chamber of Travel Buses at the Sudanese Transport Chamber Ahmed Ali Awad Allah has been elected as Vice-President of the Union. Awad Allah said, in statement following that the election of Sudan came for its growing role in the Civil Society Organizations and its interaction with the regional and international issues in recog-nition for the role of the passengers transport sector and its positive effect on the social and economic sector. He pointed out that Sudan was one of the founding mem-bers of the union and the only country at the African level which has membership among "17" countries. (SUNA)

The State Minister for Investment Osama Faisal has welcomed the large presence of the Ethiopian investment in Sudan, stressing the excellent relations with the Ethiopi-an side in light of the historic rapprochement and partnership of economic, cultural and social dimensions between the two countries. This came during a meeting at his office on Wednesday 12/8/2015 with the Chairman of the Union of Ethiopian Cham-bers of Industries Mr. Gibrahoat Okzabair. The State Minister reaffirmed Sudan's readiness to open its doors for external investments, particularly Ethiopia. (SUNA)

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, Wednesday Aug. 26th 2015 received at his office the visiting American envoy for Sudan and South Sudan, Donald Booth, at the outset of his visit to Khartoum. Prof. Ghandour and the American envoy exchanged views on the pending issues in the relations between Sudan and the United States. The visit of the US envoy and the accompanying delega-tion to Khartoum continued for two days. (SUNA)
