BOOK SUMMARY: A black bear follows the scent of berries and embarks on an adventure that takes him far from his home. In a park, it’s discovered that someone has eaten a sandwich. Who exactly ate the sandwich? Was it really the bear -- or was it someone else?
BOOK TALK: Have you ever heard a story that was just more outrageous than you could believe? Some stories start out reasonably, but then we think, “Now just wait a minute! You are pulling my leg!” This might be one of those stories. A bear wanders out of the woods and into a city park where it’s discovered that a sandwich was eaten. Was it the bear who ate the sandwich? You’ll have to read it to find out!
CHALLENGING WORDS: doze familiar
