The SystemThe heart of the “System” is an indirect cylinder with a built-in heat pump that enables the simultaneous or selective use of up to four different energy sources:1) thermal energy;2) electricity;3) solar power;4) environmental energy. The heat pump is designed to transfer heat from a body at a lower temperature to another body at a higher temperature. This process is the opposite of what happens in nature, and is due to the fact that electricity is supplied to the appliance that “heat pumps”.The operating principle of the heat pump is a thermodynamic cycle opposite to refrigeration. The efficiency of a heat pump is represented by its performance coefficient COP, which is the ratio of the heat output yielded to the electrical power utilised.
Operating principleThe heat pump comprises a closed circuit made up of a compressor, a condenser, a lamina-tion valve and an evaporator through which the heat transfer fluid flows. The thermodynamic cycle the fluid experiences consists in an adiabatic compression, a condensation phase, an expansion phase and also evaporation. During compression, the pressure and temperature of the fluid rise, during the second stage the fluid flows through a heat exchanger (condenser) where it comes into contact with domestic water, to which it yields heat. During the third stage, the fluid flows through an expansion valve (lamination process) and its pressure and temperature consequently drop. During the last stage, referred to as evapo-ration, the fluid switches from its liquid state to gas: the coolant is at very low temperatures, which enable it to absorb heat from the external heat transfer fluid. So during the operation of the heat pump, the following occurs: electricity is consumed in the compressor, heat is absor-bed from the external environment (evaporator) and heat is yielded in the condenser to the liquid that needs to be heated. The advantage of a heat pump lies in the fact that more energy is supplied in the form of heat than the electricity required for its operation.
The strengthsThe features that make this system worthwhi-le are multiple, but the most obvious advan-tage is that it is an intrinsically efficient system. It has direct repercussions on the amortisation of the installation cost and on the consumer’s utility bills too. Moreover, using a heat pump enables the exploitation of portions of energy which would otherwise be wasted (such as in installations in boiler rooms). Lastly, this system also provides an easy and convenient integration with other renewable energy sources (solar panels, wo-od-fired boilers, etc.). Heat pumps are ideally installed in cellars or damp rooms because the humidity in the air is removed during operation (dehumidifying effect).

Floor-standing electric storage water heaters are designed to meet the new expectations of the market as to durability and great storage. To this end, this product line was introduced, providing maximum quality and durability owing to the use of special materials and sophisticated technological solu-tions, such as TIG and plasma welding. The insulation layer is manufactured by means of a new system that combines thetechnologyoftheinjectedpolyurethane(PU)withtheflexibilityofNEO-POR (EPS). This solution allows the installer to have a “plug and play” product and, in case of need, it is an easy solution for making the product pass through openings whose width equals 800 mm. This system allows a trouble-free di-sassembly and re-assembly of the insulation layer for an easier installation in boiler rooms. The two big front hatchways characterise the line of these pro-ducts and make them flexible and suitable for several combinations of electri-cal powers up to maximum 20 KW. The electrical components are supplied apart in handy single- and three-phase KITs with Incoloy 800 stainless steel heating elements with powers up to 10 kW. They are recommended for collec-tive use.

Double fixed coil floor-standing storage indirect cylinders are designed to meet the new expectations of the market as to durability, exchange power and great storage. To this end, this product line was introduced, providing great capacities, maxi-mum quality and durability owing to the use of special materials and sophisti-cated technological solutions, such as TIG and plasma welding. The insulation layer is manufactured by means of a new system that combines thetechnologyoftheinjectedpolyurethane(PU)withtheflexibilityofNEO-POR (EPS).This solution allows the installer to have a “plug and play” product and, in case of need, it is an easy solution for making the product pass through openings whose width equals 800 mm. This system allows a trouble-free disassembly and re-assembly of the insulation layer for an easier installation in boiler ro-oms.The two big front hatchways characterise the line of these products and make them flexible and suitable for several combinations of electrical integrations. They are recommended for collective use.

The “STReNGTHS” of the product range in detail:
2 1
This range of indirect cylinders performs indirect heating via one or two fi-xed coils or by means of an air casing with extensive heat exchange surfaces. They provide an easy and abundant supply of hot water for all uses. They can be connected to both independent and central heating systems, or to remote heating systems or they can be used in forced flow solar-powered systems, providing high heat exchange efficiency levels. The range of capa-cities covered by this product line is from 115 to 1000 litres with power ratings of between 20 kW and over 100 kW of heat output. The models available include “undermount” appliances to be fitted below the boiler, which are ideally combined with any wall-hung boiler for the pro-duction of large quantities of hot water in a limited amount of space, along with the multi-purpose “free standing” versions which comprise single and double coil indirect cylinders, designed to integrate several types of energy available, from methane gas via a gas boiler, to electrical installations using the integration kit available, and even solar energy systems with the forced flow solar-powered systems. The line of indirect cylinders is completed with the “multi-position” air casing version which has a distinguishing trait: its versatility, which makes both ver-tical and horizontal as well as floor-standing installations possible.
Thermal insulationInsulation layer made of very thick high-den-sity polyurethane (PU) foam that guarantees excellent insulation.
Tank protection against wearThanks to the “flow-coating” enamelling pro-cess at 850°C for guaranteed quality internal protection.
Magnesium anodeFeatured in all the models in the range, this anode makes for effective electrochemical tank protection.
Environmentally friendlyStyleboiler strives to optimise its industrial activity while respecting the environment. To minimise the environmental impact of its products, it has abolished the use of chloro-fluorocarbons (CFC-HCFC) in the insulation layer and makes continuous efforts to use recyclable components.

Single and double fixed coil floor-standing storage indirect cylinders are desi-gned to meet the new expectations of the market as to durability, exchange power and great storage. To this end, this new high-capacity product line was introduced, providing maximum quality and durability owing to the use of special materials and so-phisticated technological solutions. The guarantee of durability in time is further extended by means of a modern “glass-lining” treatment over the tank. This system allows a trouble-free disassembly and re-assembly of the insula-tion layer for an easier installation in boiler rooms. The two big front hatchways characterise the line of these products and make them flexible and suitable for several combinations of electrical powers up to maximum 20 kW. The electrical components are supplied apart in handy sin-gle- and three-phase KITs with Incoloy 800 stainless steel heating elements with powers up to 10 kW or made of copper up to 5 kW. Furthermore, you can equip the tank with spiroid exchangers, if any, which can be installed in the hatchways. They are recommended for collective use.

Thermal insulation layerIt is manufactured with very thick and high-density polyurethane foam to assure excel-lent thermal insulation.• Rigidpolyurethane(PU)for200÷600lmodels.• Flexiblepolyurethane(PU)for800÷1.000lt. models.
Recycling800 and 1,000l puffers have been designed so that they can be completely disassembled at the end of their life cycle, in a way to allow their correct recycling and/or the disposal of their components.
Respect of the environmentWe undertakes streamlining the industrial activities and the respect of the environment. In order to reduce the impact over the envi-ronment to the minimum, we removed the hydrofluorocarbons (CFC-HCFC) from the insulation layer, and always pays great atten-tion to the recyclability of the components.
The “STReNGTHS” of the product range in detail:
The range of inertial puffers is formed by heating water storages with the opportunity to combine a fixed coil exchanger, too. They allow storing heating water generated by discontinuous heating sy-stems; therefore, they allow a considerable recovery and/or exploitation of thermal energy that would be unused or even wasted. From this point of view, they well integrate into energy saving systems, and become the “thermal source” of the energy system within heating and dome-stic hot water generation systems.Owing to their peculiarity, they are usually connected to systems that ge-nerate heat in a discontinuous way, such as for example wood-fired boilers, solid-fuel stacks or stoves, or rather installed in low water systems to limit the interventions of the burners. As for the version with fixed exchanger, besides what is said above, it is used for maximum exploitation of “thermal solar systems” or with “heat pump”. The capacity field covered by this range is included between 200 and 1,000 litres.Product lines cover the standard, with front hatchway, solar with fixed exchanger and front hatchway up to solar with the production of domestic hot water. All products are equipped with fittings for electric integrations by means of specific kits from 3.0 kW to 12.0 kW, while the products having the hatchway can install further electric kits from 2.0 to 10.0 kW, or kits with tinned copper spiroid exchangers.

The “Tank in Tank” range of solar puffers with the production of domestic hot water is an integrated system formed by a thermal storage for heating (puffer) and a glass-lined tank, which is dipped inside the puffer, for the production of domestic hot water. The insulation layer is manufactured by means of a new system that combines thetechnologyoftheinjectedpolyurethane(PU)withtheflexibilityofNEO-POR (EPS) (only for series 750-900). This solution allows the installer to have a “plug and play” product and, in case of need, it is an easy solution for making the product pass through openings whose width equals 800 mm. This system allows a trouble-free disassembly and re-assembly of the insula-tion layer for an easier installation in boiler rooms. Owing to their peculiarity, they are usually connected to systems that genera-te heat in a discontinuous way, such as for example wood-fired boilers, solid-fuel stacks or stoves, or rather installed in low water systems to limit the inter-ventions of the burners. The fixed exchanger to be found in the system is used for maximum exploita-tion of “thermal solar systems” or with “heat pump”.

The range of gas water heaters is the result of detailed research and in-depth experiments related to the efficiency, safety, aesthetic appearance and ener-gy savings in strict compliance with the applicable norms in force. The range of capacities covered by this product line is from 50 to 2000 litres with power ratings of between 4 kW and over 34 kW of heat output. The ran-ge meets both the domestic requirements of a typical home as well as those of industrial and collective settings. The product lines include “natural draught” appliances, which are ideal for the rapid and cheap production both small and large quantities of water, as well as the sophisticated “fan flue” appliances which also solve installation difficulties when traditional systems cannot be fitted.
Thermal insulationInsulation layer made of very thick (range for collective use) high-density polyurethane (PU) foam that guarantees excellent insula-tion.
Tank protection against wearThanks to the “flow-coating” enamelling pro-cess at 850°C for guaranteed quality internal protection or via classic hot galvanising process(forseries600-2000only).
Magnesium anodeFeatured in all the models in the range, this anode makes for effective electrochemical tank protection.
Multi-gas burnerAll the gas powered appliance models are fit-ted with multi-gas burners for operation with methane gas or LPG.
Maximum safetyTriple safety gas valve with operating ther-mostat, flame detection thermocouple (ioni-sation for electronic versions) and maximum temperature thermostat and flue gas sensor (for natural draught versions) to avoid possi-ble malfunctions.
Environmentally friendlyWe strive to optimise its industrial activity while respecting the environment. To mini-mise the environmental impact of its pro-ducts, it has abolished the use of chlorofluo-rocarbons (CFC-HCFC) in the insulation layer and makes continuous efforts to use recycla-ble components.

The “STReNGTHS” of the product range in detail:
4 7
The Styleboiler range of electric storage water heaters offers an extensive array of models for the production of domestic hot water (D.H.W.) with a ca-pacity ranging from 10 to 1000 litres and power ratings from 1.2 to 10 kW with single- and three-phase connections. The range meets both the domestic requirements of a typical home as well as those of industrial and collective settings. The product lines include “rapid” models, which are ideal for the rapid and cheap production of small quantities of water, “smart” models which are small water heaters designed for installations where limited space is avai-lable, the classic “standard” models devised to accommodate the essential basic requirements of the market, and also the “interline” product line, pro-viding a large number of combinations to meet the highest expectations as regards quality in observance of European and international standards.
Thermal insulationInsulation layer made of very thick (Interline range) high-density polyurethane (PU) foam that guarantees excellent insulation.
Tank protection against wearThanks to the “flow-coating” enamelling pro-cess at 850°C for guaranteed quality internal protection or via classic Teflon-coating.
Magnesium anodeFeatured in all the models in the range, this anode makes for effective electrochemical tank protection.
External Control Knob (SE)External control knob used to facilitate the waterheater temperatureadjustment,com-bined with the flange for easy inspection and cleaning.
Dual SafetyThanks to the presence of both an operating thermostat and a maximum temperature thermostat to avoid possible malfunctions.
IP Degree of ProtectionStyleboiler water heaters are safe because they are splash-proof and are specially desig-ned for installation close to the water delivery points, even in public and collective settings.
Environmentally friendlyWe strives to optimise its industrial activity while respecting the environment. To mini-mise the environmental impact of its pro-ducts, it has abolished the use of chlorofluo-rocarbons (CFC-HCFC) in the insulation (PU) layer and makes continuous efforts to use recyclable components.

Floor-standing electric storage water heaters are designed to meet the new expectations of the market as to durability and great storage. To this end, this new high-capacity product line was introduced, providing maximum quality and durability owing to the use of special materials and sophisticated techno-logical solutions. The guarantee of durability in time is further extended by means of a modern “glass-lining” treatment over the tank. The insulation layer is manufactured by means of a new system that combines the technology of theinjectedpolyurethane(PU)withtheflexibilityofNEOPOR(EPS).Thissolu-tion allows the installer to have a “plug and play” product and, in case of need, it is an easy solution for making the product pass through openings whose width equals 800 mm. This system allows a trouble-free disassembly and re-assembly of the insulation layer for an easier installation in boiler rooms.

We have come up with an appliance that fully exploits the natural energy released by a fuel deemed to be “poor”, namely wood, turning it into a precious source of energy that is easily exploited. Using a Styleboiler wood-fired water heater, alone or combined with an electric heating element, means having heat available at a low cost and in an environmentally-friendly way. The models available are devised for a prevalently domestic use, with a design marked by eco-friendly choices to help protect the environment. In fact, wood as a resource is a renewable and eco-compatible energy source. Our choice of wood as the fuel, which affects several sectors of the eco-nomy such as forestry and agriculture, which have the possibility of recovering millions of hectares of abandoned and deteriorated land, automatically makes for a sustainable development with the expan-sion of woodland crops. TheADVANTAGESofthissystementailthepossibilityofusingrenew-able natural resources, with the maximum practicality at limited costs, all this with a straightforward installation process that requires no elec-trical connections.

General remarks
6 3
Styleboiler is in a position to boast a consolidated experience in the challenging world of protective coatings for steel tanks devised to store domestic hot water, thanks to over twenty years of doing business in the design and manufacture of storage water heaters for the production of hot water.
The range Styleboiler offers an extensive range of electric, gas and wood-fired storage water heaters and indirect cylinders to cater for all hot water requirements, both at home as well as in industrial or communal settings. The classical product range including boilers manufactured with glass-lined steel has been joined by a renewed and complete product line, which includes stainless steel boilers. The company’s policy, which aims at implementing technologies that do not affect the ecosystem, has led to the design and manufacture of new models that utilise renewable energy sources, such as “heat pumps”. Owing to this wide range of models, Styleboiler can cover a spectrum of capacities ranging from 10 to over 2.000 litres to guarantee the maximum comfort and well-being of end users.
Quality, safety and flexibilityStyleboiler has always stood for quality; the excellent quality of Styleboiler products is the result of an accurate design process combined with the use of advanced technologies, of carefully selected raw materials, and it is guaranteed by regular checks carried out at every stage of the manufacturing process. Product safety is guaranteed by the observance of applicable laws and product standards, along with the prestigious ISO 9001/2000 certification, which enable Styleboiler to accommodate the needs of the most demanding international markets. Flexibility is another feature that makes Styleboiler the best possible partner for its strong focus on the partnership with its customers, offering customised solutions wherever required.
All STYLEBOILER appliances conform to European Di-rectives. The gas appliances are devised and specifical-ly approved for the use of
standard fuels. All STYLEBOILER appliances made at the S.Maria di Zevio (VR) plant are designed and built in compliance with international quality standards ISO 9001/2000 and conform to article 3.3 of European Directive 97/23/EEC (PED).
Installation and use These appliances are approved for indoor installation only. Installation must be per-formed and certified by authorised techni-cians only, in accordance with the law. A “hydraulic safety group” compliant with EN 1487 or the equivalent must be fitted on all appliances. The water tempera-ture adjustment allows the energy con-sumption to be optimised according to the well-being required. However, it is advisable to prevent the temperature of the water stored from being too low, in order to avoid the prolife-ration of bacteria that cause Legionnaire’s disease. To this end, here are a few general precautions to take: • Keepthehotwaterinsidetheapplian-ce at a temperature of no less than 50 °C;• In the event of prolonged absen-ces, allow water to run freely from taps and showers for a few minutes;• Keepshowerheadsandtapsfreeofli-mescale build-ups. The manufacturer will not be held liable in the event of uses other than those speci-fied.
