Words To Know

Justification= is the declaring of a person to be just or righteous. It is a legal term signifying acquittal

Atonement (Propitiation)= covering (for sin). that is, that God has provided a way for humankind to come back into harmonious relation with him.( sins have been covered)

Reconciliation= involves a change in the relationship between God and man or man and man. It assumes there has been a breakdown in the relationship, but now there has been a change from a state of enmity and fragmentation to one of harmony and fellowship.

Forbearance= a refraining from the enforcement of something (as a debt, right, or obligation) that is due
