Study Area Boundary Recertification On the Uploaded Files page of the Study Area Boundary Data Collection site, you will see a Recertify button ( below) for any study area codes (SACs) that were last certified prior to 2015. You can click on that button to complete the recertification, described on page 2. If you would like to first view a map of your certified boundary, click on the Map button ( below) in the Shape Files section at the bottom of the page.

Once you click the Recertify button, you will be taken to a form, shown below, to verify or update the contact information for the certifying official. Then click on the Re-Certify & Accept button ( below).

If recertification was successful, then the SAC will be listed in the Selected SACs section of the Uploaded Files page with two certifications (outlined below) – one for the original certification date, and one for the recertification date. Do not click the Uncertify button for either of these files unless you intend to upload new data.

If your boundary has changed since you last certified it, please click the Uncertify button ( below) for that SAC and then upload and certify a new shapefile. Please note that it will not be necessary, or possible, to recertify this new file.
