ABSTRACT Budiman, 072214020. “Study about the interest of the Education of Automotive Technique Students, State University of Makassar to Work in Industry Sector” Thesis. Automotive Technique Education, Faculty of Technique, State University of Makassar. Supervised by: M. Ahsan Mandra, and Saharuna. This research was a descriptive research aimed at knowing the view and the influenced factors to the Study Program if Automotive Technique Education, Faculty of Technique, State University of Makassar to work in industry sector. The population of this research is all the students of Study Program of the Automotive Technique Education, Faculty of Technique, State University of Makassar from 2008-2010 amount to 75 persons.The sample of this research was taken by using Nomogram Harry King and the amount of the sample was 59 persons taken from the population. The collecting data was done by using documentation and questionnaire. The descriptive analysis result showed that the students’ interest of the Automotive Technique Education to work in industry sector was in high level with percentage about 11 students (18.64%), in minded category about 22 students (37,29%), in less minded category about 16 students (27,12%), and the Not-minded category about 10 students (16,96%). While the factors influenced to the students’ interest of Study Program of Bachelor Degree of Automotive Technique Education to work in industry sector was outside factor whereas the non-social environment got the highest percentage about 26,13%, then social environment aspect about 25,23%. Whereas the the students’ internal facto; psychology aspects took the third place with percentage about 24,90% and the aspect which got the lowest percentage was physiology aspect (healthy) about 23,70%.
