fleded illmination sstem:

FB reflectors can also be com-
bined wit oter accessories.
Potorapers wit a flair for

binations and caracteristics wit
te Para sstem: it is an inexa-
stible sorce of inspiration and
creatiit.

Te Paras FB are parabolic
reflectors made p of 24 se-
ments coered wit a i-loss
tearresistant textile reflector
material. Te reflector openins
ae diameters of 170, 220, and
330 cm. All Para FB models
are made mostl of alminim
and carbon or fibrelass (170)
and terefore wei er little
despite teir iantic dimensions.

for lit desin is te position
of te lamp in te reflector
(focssin):
Te focssed position, in wic
te lamp is located well inside
te reflector, creates a paral-
lel, lare-area lit. It acts lie
a iantic spot: powerfl and
brilliant on te one and, bt
on te oter and (becase of
its sie) soft and almost com-
pletel sadowless. Mc of
te lit comes from te optical
axis, te centre of te mbrella.

pletel transparent tlle. Onl
a small portion of te l it is
diffsed and te tpical lit
caracteristics of te Para FB
are not inflenced. Te lit
becomes a tin bit more delicate,
contrast is slitl diminised
and te dominance of reflections
on te sbject is redced. Tis
maes it a manificent tool in
particlar for sbtle litin
effects in lamor potorap.
Diffsor 2 maes te lit den-
ser tan nmber 1. Te lit
becomes softer and more omo-
eneos bt also a little less
sclptral. Direct reflections
in ees or on similar srfaces
appear as almost omoeneos
wite areas, and te additional
scattered lit in te stdio red-
ces contrast. unlie wit nmber
3, oweer, some of te lit can
still pass tro te diffser
witot scatterin, and te tpi-
cal Para FB lit caracteristicsare retained to a somewat les-
ser extent.
Diffsor 3 closes off te reflector
completel. Te wite clot is not
transparent, and all te lit is
scattered. Te reslt is an extre-
mel omoeneos, er soft
and low-contrast lit. Te pro-
perties of tis Para FB lit are
comparable to tose of a softbox
of te same sie.
