Frequently Asked Questions�Q: How much is the band fee? A: Studio 188 booking fees vary from show to show. Please email [email protected] or [email protected] with details of the event for a quote.
Q: Is the band fee cheaper if only part of Studio 188 plays? A: Studio 188 only plays as a full band of 10 or 11. However, if required the band can scale down to play an opening dinner set with 3 or 4 people as part of the larger show.�

Q: Can we pick the set list? A: We welcome client input on song selections, and can also work around a party theme. We can also learn custom songs, including Chinese songs. Studio 188 prefers not to take requests during a performance.�
Q: How long does Studio 188 perform for? A: An average Studio 188 shows is two 40 minute sets with a 15 minute encore if requested by the audience. We can also play longer shows based on the show fee. Most of our music is geared to get people dancing!� Q: Do we need to provide any musical equipment or staff? A: Within Shanghai and for cities within 2 hours driving distance, Studio 188 brings all the instruments. For events held in large hotel ballrooms, the organizer must provide a large sound system to cover the entire room. For Shanghai shows, Studio 188 has the capability to provide its own complete Sennheiser sound system. Studio 188 always travels with a sound engineer, and a crew of three. For shows where travel is necessary, the organizer may need to provide rented instruments. Based on the show criteria we will provide a “Production Rider” with details of what the band requires to produce a first class show. �
