Attached to the backpackswill be photographs and stories from those who have lost a loved one to

Taste of Africa is a gala inundated with treasures of African cultures. Treasuresin the form of art, food, comedy, dance and a host of other entertainments areconcentrated to enable our audience to interact fully with our vast multitude ofAfrican cultures. Taste of Africa this year attempts to bridge the divide thatexists between Africans on the continent and Africans who have emigratedfrom their respective countries to continue their lives outside the continent. Thisyear's theme, Africans Crossing the Generations, attempts to explore thisgenerational divide and seeks to foster discussion on the cultural, social,economic, and political differences that contribute to this divide. The layout will
include a dinner and art galleries in the reception area, a series of skits anddances throughout Taste of Africa in the theatre, and an African inspiredfashion show to highlight the event.
