Student Studio The Student Studio is available to UNTHSC students for course or degree related projects. Examples are recording a poster presentation, knowledge clips, short video messages, interviews, public service announcements or practice your camera presence. The Student Studio is located on the 4th floor of the UNTHSC Library. No reservations are taken for the Student Studio. The studio is available on a first come, first serve basis. You will need to bring a USB stick to save the video file. If you would like more information, please email [email protected] How to record a video STEP 1 Turn on the camera and the light using the on/off switch on the power strip STEP 2 Logon to the PC and start OBS Studio by clicking on its icon on the desktop STEP 3 Select a template from the Scenes tab:

Student Studio The Student Studio is available to UNTHSC students for course or degree related projects. Examples are recording a poster presentation, knowledge clips, short video messages, interviews, public service announcements or practice your camera presence. How to record a video STEP 1 Turn on the camera and the light using the on/off switch on the power strip

STEP 2 Logon to the PC and start OBS Studio by clicking on its icon on the desktop

STEP 3 Select a template from the Scenes tab:

Camera + 2nd Screen + Grey BG Catch-all of the 2nd screen, with the presenter displayed in a small inset

Camera only + 2nd Screen BG Catch-all of the 2nd screen and the presenter in the foreground

Camera only + Image BG Custom image in the background and the presenter in the foreground.

Camera only + Video BG Custom video in the background and the presenter in the foreground.

Camera only + Chroma Key BG Green Screen background and the presenter in the foreground. (If you want to key out the chroma color yourself with a video editor)

Camera only + Grey BG Grey background and the presenter in the foreground.

STEP 4 (OPTIONAL) Camera + 2nd Screen + Grey BG To change the name in the small inset, double click Your Name Here (CLICK TO CHANGE). If you do not want a name displayed, click the eye button to hide the text. Camera + 2nd Screen NOTE: This template is a catch-all of the 2nd Screen, you can get the same results as the two options below by displaying a image or playing a video on the 2nd Screen. Camera only + Image BG To change the background image, double click Image (CLICK TO CHANGE). Make sure your image is 1920x1080 to make it full screen! Camera only + Video BG To change the background video, double click Image (CLICK TO CHANGE). Make sure your video is 1920x1080 to make it full screen!

STEP 5 Click Start Recording and Stop to stop the recording. Videos will be saved as a MOV file in the My Videos folder.
