Stuck At Home:Life during Coronavirus
Olivia Zeiner-Morrish
Two months ago, life was normal. I went to school every day, I went to the
store, and I saw my friends all the time. But now my life is very different.
I have to stay at home every day because of the coronavirus.
Coronavirus is a disease that has spread all around the world
and made a lot of people very sick.
Some people have a fever and a cough. Some people need to go to the hospital.
Other people might feel fine and not even know they are sick. Because people are
affected differently, it is important to be very careful and make sure we don’t
spread the virus.
One person can pass the virus to lots of other people without realizing it.
This means we must be very careful not to share germs.
It is important to wash your hands often to stop the spread of germs.
Because germs can also be spread through your nose and mouth, you
should wear a face mask in public.
Even when we are careful, it is still possible for people to share germs when they
are together, especially in big groups. For this reason lots of places are closed,
like schools, parks, and bookstores. Only important places, like grocery stores,
are still open.
I have to do my school from home. My mom and dad have to work from
home too.
It’s hard to stay in my house all the time. Sometimes I get so bored. Still, I
know that I need to do my part and stop the spread of coronavirus, which
means staying home.
I miss my friends a lot and it is hard not to see them. But I am so excited
to see them again when this is all over!
