Student Services Center $26M

> A two-building, 37,000 SF complex with single-story and two-story structures that house various student groups and programs, as well as the Student Services administrative offices.

> A "cool roof" to reduce heat and water usage, improve air quality and improve energy efficiency.

Athletic Training Facility $14M

> Monarch Stadium/Track & Athletic Field includes running/jogging tracks, football/soccer field, scoreboard, bleachers, lighting, and public facilities

> Specification and bid document administration

> All FF&E procurement and support for operation and maintenance construction

Gynamsium and Swimming Complex $11M

> Renovation of two existing occupied buildings: one 37,963 SF and one 42,500 SF

> Addition of a 5,000 SF Adaptive Physical Education Center and a new pool complex

> Security and audio-visual upgrades

> New automatic doors, mechanical equipment and duct distribution, and fire sprinkler system and HAZMAT abatement.

Child and Family Complex $14M

> A new, three-part, 26,000 SF, ‘green’ facility that includes the Child Development Center, Child Development Department, Family Resource Center, classrooms and faculty and support spaces.

> A natural looking, nature-based playground area that integrates indoor and outdoor.

Library $36M

> A 12,000 SF Temporary Library housing 35% of the college’s collection on-site with additional resources off-site. It is housed in temporary facilities/trailers secured, wired, and capable of servicing the College community.

> Includes computer access to electronic media, limited book stacks, reading/lounge/study areas and much more.

Maintenance and Operations Building $8M

> Completion and commissioning of a 28,000 SF, one-story facility consisting of three structures to house a new maintenance & operations shop and the College Sheriff’s Station building

Oviatt Library $24M > Renovation and expansion of the existing library.

> Added two floors on the east and west wings to house library staff and special collections of over a million reference books, periodicals, microfiche and microfilm, video and film, sound recordings, computer software, and other reference materials. Computers are in place with internet access to facilitate research efforts.

> The largest library in the San Fernando Valley, and the third largest library in the CSU system.

> The library has 45 towering columns, 55 feet high and weighing 40 tons each, symbolizing the enduring testimony to the power of knowledge.

LOS ANGELES SOUTHWEST COLLEGE Los Angles, CA Value: $19M

> A 64,437 SF Student Services Activity Center housing 24 student services ranging from enrollment to financial aid (awarded LEED-Silver distinction)

> Design-build of a LEED Silver, two-story, 18,160 SF Field House includes offices for coaches, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a weight room, meeting rooms and shower facilities.

> A 4,000-seat stadium with the President’s press box and rooms equipped for the media, catering and opposing teams, along

> 95,950 SF of field turf to accommodate a regulation football and soccer field, competitive 8-lane race track, long jump, and sand pit

LOS ANGELES CITY COLLEGE Los Angeles, CA Value: $48.6M

> Renovation of 70,000 SF Northeast Van de Kamp Building for 36 classrooms and additional offices, including science labs, computer labs, fitness center, classrooms, administrative offices and historical display of the former bakery

> Management of project design through preconstruction

> Buildings will generate more than 10% of energy needs from renewable and clean energy resources.

> The first building in the United States to receive a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating.

> The first building in the world to meet both LEED and BREEAM requirements.

WEST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE Los Angeles, CA Value: $64.6M

Science and Math Buildings $34.6M

> Five-level 85,000 SF Science Building with laboratories & two-level 14,000 SF Math Building

> Construction costs together with change orders is within budget.

General Classroom & Student Services $19M

> Fully sprinklered Type II-FR consisting of 44,604 SF with mixed occupancies

> Electrical room temporary power switch-over to building A & B

> Chill water line through center court by others was deferred to mitigate disruption to exterior enclosure work in courtyard

> Data communication & audio-visual vendors were selected for owner furnished equipment.

> HVAC commissioning with pre-function checklist to major equipment, access to VAV boxes survey, etc.

Central Plant $11M

Added a new central heating and cooling plant to serve various buildings on campus that included:

> Renovation of the boiler plant and electrical room

> Addition of a new dual cell cooling tower and installation of a bank of ice storage modules

> Direct buried heating and chilled water piping to various buildings throughout the campus

> Installation of a new electrical service, distribution and backup generator

THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO, PARNASSUS MEDICAL CENTER San Francisco, CA Value: $35M

Responsible for the commercial construction management and program management of campus renovations to the Parnassus Campus, including chemistry and biology laboratories, animal research center, allied health services center and outpatient services center. Total construction $35.6M during a three year period. Served under Project Manager who reported through UCSF Facilities Services Division.

Assisted with managing seismic and utility upgrades, inspection of work, relocation/move management, construction notifications, daily reports, project engineering and other related tasks.

NEW YORK HOSPITAL GROUP, LLC NEW YORK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER CAMPUS New York, NY

Value: $144M

The New York Hospital Group required the addition of 200 new beds, a LAB21 wet pathology lab and research facility on the NYU Medical Center Campus.

Remodel and systems upgrades, including Architectural, Structural, MEP, Emergency Back-Up Systems at Common area, OR’s, ER’s, Exam Rooms, Lounges, etc. Work was accomplished in “live” facility, requiring daily interfacing with hospital administrative and faculty staff, hospital scheduling, permitting-inspection authorities.

UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS MEDICAL SCHOOL MASSBIOLOGICS Mattapan, MA Value: $55M

New building housing research and development labs, wet labs, and meeting and teaching areas, as well as a data center that supports all of UMass Medical School’s campuses.

The data center includes American Power Conversion (APC) server room equipment, uninterrupted power supply systems (UPS), a standby generator, a 5-ton emergency chiller, a Novec fire suppression system, and an extensive Technical Assistance Center (TAC) security package.
