Time Management
Eliminate time stealers, and make a list.
Long conversations with co-workers Spending too much time on e-mail Social Networks (Facebook)- many people have smart
phones that gives instant internet access, don’t fall into the trap of facebooking during the workday
Write down what you want to accomplish in your day At the end of the day feel a since of accomplishment when
these items are marked off
Become Better Organized
Organize your work area!!!! Use a calendar or PDA to help organize
your day and keep track of appointments.
Prioritize tasks to be done and allow enough time to complete these.
Throw away clutter that is not necessary. For example,
junk mail, magazines, and newspapers.
Have a well organized workspace with computer and work area furniture in
easy reach.
Use files to organize. File work that needs to be saved and create a
pending file for items you are currently working on.
Communicate With Others
Don’t let poor communication cause stress
1. Make sure you communicate with your boss and co-workers.
2. Talk about problems that arise in the office.
3. Ask for help when you feel overwhelmed with a task.
4. Take advantage of brainstorming with others in the workplace.
5. Resolve any personal issues with people in the workplace
to prevent stress at work.
WOW, you will feel better
By utilizing better time management skills,
becoming more organized ,and applying good communication skills , you can get rid of bad stress in your life.
Not all stress is bad, but you don’t need the bad unnecessary
stress to hold you back from your full potential.
