    Type of food preferred by shoppers

    Delhi style tends to mean a deep-fried pastry shell, stuffed after cooking with potatoes,

    The entire street adjoining the famous VB Bakery at V V Puram is Bengaluru's

    miniature version of Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Alor foodstalls. A haven for anyone who

    enjoys hawker fare, one can stall-hop and have a variety of snacks that'll satisfy even

    the most ravenous hunger and spend less than Rs 100 in total. Some of the must-try

    dishes are dum-root and butter-bun congress at VB Bakery. The dosas,obbattu (sweet

    pancake) ,akkirotti (rice pancake) , friedbondas , butter-gulkand, and masala-pepsi

    available at the various stalls are also delicious. Note that the street comes alive only in

    the evenings (after 6PM) and that only vegetarian fare is available here.

    Misals are a Pune favourite, if you can stomach the spice in them. They are a tasty meal

    and a visit to Bedekar Misal or Shree Uphar Gruha is a must. e Gulabjamun with

    sprinkled sugar which is a desert dish and the famous Bakarwadi which is a fried

    chickpea flour preparation, are something worth trying while visiting Pune. Rice

    Amritsari Kulcha Wala, Paschim Vihar Red Light, (near Jwala Heri Market). If you are into

    amritsari kulcha, you probably can't miss this. People on dieting beware: the amount of butter that

    the vendor puts in is huge. However, without it you will not enjoy the Amritsari Kulcha so much. It is

    kind of a road side dhaba or shack. Rs 60 for two kulchas is what he charges.
