COPE for DBCTL combines multiple database control (DBCTL) regions that provide IMS data management for online CICS transaction systems into a single physical system. This ability to consolidate multiple DBCTL systems under a single system reduces hardware and software resource consumption for both DBCTL and any database recovery control (DBRC) and DL/1 separate address spaces (DLISAS) associated with DBCTL.
