St. Petersburg, Florida - Things to Do
Discover a myriad of attractions and fun things to do and see in St. Petersburg, Florida when you

Fort De Soto Park.
Fort De Soto Park is an award-winning beach and public park that offers three miles of white-
sand beach and seven miles of waterfront. Fort Desoto Park includes two fishing piers, boat
launch, large picnic areas, nature trails, canoe trail, a designated dog beach, food concessions,and more. Fort De Soto is also known for its historical features including the Quartermaster
Storehouse Museum housed in a reconstructed army building from 1905. Fort De Soto Parkcomprises five interconnected islands in Tierra Verde, Florida, near St. Petersburg. Visit

Museum of Fine Arts.
The Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg is the largest museum of its kind in west Florida. The
museum features a permanent collection of some of the finest early European and American
paintings, photography, pre-Columbian and Asian objects of art, and Greek and Romanantiquities. A regular schedule of visiting exhibitions complements the Museum of Fine Arts

Salvador Dali Museum.
The Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg is home to the largest collection of Dali's work
anywhere in the world. The museum's collection includes 96 oil paintings, more than 100
drawings and watercolors, and 1,300 objects of art. This fascinating collection traces the variousphases of Dali's career as an artist, from Impressionist and Cubist works to the Surrealism pieces

The Pier, the common reference to the St. Petersburg Pier, is a year-round attraction that features
souvenir and specialty shops, restaurants and bars, sightseeing boat rides, weekendentertainment, and The Pier Aquarium. Fishing is also permitted at The Pier. Fishing equipment
is available for rent. The Pier has been a St. Petersburg landmark since the late 1800s and has

Busch Gardens.
The wilds of Africa meet the tropical climate of Tampa Bay, Florida at Busch Gardens theme
park. A combination zoo and amusement park, Busch Gardens features wild animal attractions
and exhibits, stage productions and live entertainment, Sesame Street Safari of Fun play land foryoung children and nearly a dozen exciting rides and roller coasters. Visit

Adventure IslandAdventure Island, located adjacent to Busch Gardens, is a theme park oasis of family fun. The
water park features 30 acres of water slides, a 17,000-square-foot wave pool, meandering river,and giant waterfalls for hours of fun in the sun. Adventure Island also features private cabanas,

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve.
Discover the unique and diverse ecosystems of St. Petersburg at the Boyd Hill Nature Preserve.
Located at Lake Maggiore, the 245-acre Boyd Hill Nature Preserve features over three miles ofwalking trails, five distinct ecosystems, interpretive programs, picnic areas, a playground, and a

Florida Holocaust Museum.
The Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg is one of the largest Holocaust museums in the
country. It features permanent and temporary exhibits that strive to honor Holocaust survivors
and those who perished under Nazi rule. The museum educates the public on the Holocaust and
genocide around the world, and contemporary human rights issues. The museum's permanentexhibit, History, Heritage and Hope, features a thought provoking collection of original artifacts,

The Florida Aquarium in Tampa Bay is an exciting attraction that blends marine life exhibits
with fun family attractions. Parents magazine rated The Florida Aquarium among the Top 5 kid-friendly aquariums in the country. In addition to aquatic exhibits such as Wetlands, Beaches and
Bays, and Coral Reef, The Florida Aquarium also offers such attractions as Explore a Shore.
This 2-acre fun zone for young kids features mellow water slides and geysers, a pirate ship, giant
sea animal structures and other play area essentials. Swim with the Fishes and Dive with theSharks are two popular in-water adventures that young kids and teens can participate in. Visit

John's Pass Village & Boardwalk.
