A storyboard is a

series of drawings that help to tell a

story. You will find these in cartoons

you would see in the

newspaper or comics.

Here is a simple example of a storyboard showing how

to bake.

created “The Far Side” which is a group of short comics

that were published in various publications such as magazines and newspapers.

Hobbes” which is in the Newspaper

comic strip section and has been for

years.

comics which is

huge today with popularity in movies such as Hulk, Iron Man,

Avengers, Spiderman, X-Men etc.

Marvel comics is also still one of the

most popular if not the most

popular comic brand today.

He designed productions for

Disney such as

Sleeping Beauty.

He was the creator of the series Scooby Doo. The inspiration for

Scooby-Doo's creation as

a Great Dane came from an

employee of the Hanna-Barbera

company, who bred this dog.

Aaron Mcgruder

He created the comic strip The Boondocks

which was later

adapted into a cartoon

series. The Boondocks

Is about two young African-American brothers from inner-city Chicago now living with their grandfather in a sedate suburb. the

strip explores issues involving African-American culture and American

politics.

There is no need to be neat right away when you can do a quick rough sketch

to map out your drawings and story

Whats Next?..............

➢ You will create your own storyboard of 5-7 scenes

➢ The theme will focus on a strong positive message. Highlighting a rule from the school behavior matrix is a great

idea

➢ First you will have to create 2-3 characters for your storyboard followed by a rough draft of images and

written dialogue
