StorFirst EAS Server Requirements

� Platforms: Dedicated Physical Windows Server or VMware ESXi Server. � VMware Supported Versions: ESXi 4.0 through 5.1.

� O/S: Dedicated Windows Server O/S* � Windows Server 2012 � Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise � Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

� CPU: 2.4 GHz or better � Minimum: 4 cores � Recommended: 8 cores**

� Memory � Minimum 8GB RAM � Recommended 16GB RAM

� Disk � Minimum 1TB of free disk space for the installation directory.

� Minimum: 10K RPM SATA/SAS (4 Gbps fibre channel / 3 Gbps direct attached SAS.) � Recommended: 15K RPM SAS (8 Gbps fibre channel / 6 Gbps direct attached SAS.) � Ultimate: Enterprise Flash (8 Gbps fibre channel / 6 Gbps direct attached SAS.)

� The installation directory includes: � EAS Database (1 GB initial space. Add 1GB per 1 million files and directories added to the StorFirst EAS file

system.) � EAS Cache (Configurable from 5GB to 2TB) � System logs � Job logs � Software

� Minimum 2 x GigE Network LAN ports � Fully Redundant Power Supply

* Dedicated is defined as no other applications are installed on the Windows O/S. ** Highly recommended if Encryption at REST is enabled for any volumes.
