The Circle of Hope will be hosting Christmas at the Creek again this year on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00

The Stoney Creek Music Department will have a Breakfast/Bake Sale this morning starting at 8:30 a. m. Biscuits (sausage, cheese, or

plain) will be available along with coffee, milk, or juice. There will also be a vast assortment of baked goods available. Please come and sup-port our music ministry as we fellowship and serve Christ together.

Neuseway Nature Park, Planetarium & Sandpiper Seafood Thursday, August 15th

Depart at 1:30 pm. After the 4 pm Planetarium show, we will head to Sandpiper Seafood for supper (arriving around 5:15 pm)!

If you want to skip the nature park, you can just meet us at Sandpiper. There are TWO sign up sheets in The Connector—one for “SANDPIPER ONLY” & one for “NEUSEWAY and SANDPIPER.” Sign only one.

Meals on Wheels Belfast Ministry Team

We’re looking for 12-16 team members to serve on a rotation delivering meals for an hour about once every 6 weeks in the Belfast area. This is a one year commitment beginning in September. Pick-up meals at Belfast School.

Our “annual” business meeting was held this past Wednesday night. The financial report was given for the fourth quarter of the year, and for the entire fiscal year July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013. Highlights of that report were as follows:

Total General Fund Income = $810,149.50 Total Building Fund Income = $212,921.20

All other income = $$53,670.71 Grand Total Income = $1,076.741.41 Total Expenditures = $1,011.685.35 Net Ordinary Income = $65,056.06

Investments (Stocks, Money Market Ac-counts) = $146,442.75

Loan Balance (The Pointe, Parking Lot & The Smith House) = $652,000.00

[For Information our Original Loan was $975,000.00]

The Finance Committee also proposed a budget for this current fiscal year (July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014). Total income called for in this budget = $1,082,280.00. Copies of this budget are available on the Deacon’s Table in the Connector. A called business meeting was an-nounced for Wednesday night, August 28, for the purpose of election of officers and teachers for the coming year (Starting Sep-tember 1). This meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

The Music and Drama Depart-ments at Stoney Creek Church are pleased to announce

the dates for Journey to the Cross 2014. Our performances of this won-derful passion event will be April 11-13 (Fri-Sun) and April 17-19 (Thu-Sat.) Stoney Creek has a proud tradi-tion of making this event one which reaches people all over Wayne County and well beyond. Please mark these dates on your calendar and let Pastor Chris know how you would be willing to serve. Also, we will gladly begin accepting donations that will help fund this event. The membership of SCC has always made sure this event was successful so, please help make JTTC 2014 success as well.

Oct. 11-12, 3013 Conference Ticket Cost: $99 The Women of Faith Believe God Can Do Anything tour is a life-changing, live Christian event for today’s woman, where chart-topping music artists (Third Day and CeCe Winans) and world-class authors and Bible teachers create an unforgettable, day-and-a-half experience for women from all walks of life.

All women (and their friends) of Stoney Creek Church are invited to this event. We will come back refreshed by God's word, time away, and deeper friendships. We have 10 rooms reserved for Friday night, October 11, 2013, at Comfort Inn at Executive Park in Charlotte. Price is $20 per person (quads) or $81 single rate and includes breakfast. We will share driving, at cost of $20 per person for gas. Tickets to Women of Faith, for all but nose-bleed sections, are $99. Total cost: $139, plus meals, if you share a room. The best tickets (closest) go first. We'd like to reserve them by September 15, 2013. Please make your check to SCFWBC for $99 by that date.
