Frequently asked questions

How many activities can I book for my child? • You can book one free activity and one additional in October

• One free activity in November • One free activity in December

You can contribute to as many additional activities as are available Costs of these are:

£3 towards a short activity £5 towards a family activity or whole day

£10 towards a full day trip from a central point Are the activities booked on a first come first served basis?

Action for Children do not allocate activities on a first come, first served basis. We ask that you give a few choices and then your confirmed activities will be stated on

your confirmation letter. Our aim is to ensure that all children and young peoplehave a fair opportunity to access the activities provided by Aiming High.

How do I pay for activities and transport? • You can pay the following ways

• Send a cheque to the office made payable to Action for Children • Call into the office with cash between 9 and 5 Monday to Friday

• Send a postal order • Use the Pingit app – this can be used by anyone with a bank account and a

smart phone. If you haven’t had an instructions sheet please call us for one When should I pay for my activities and transport?

It would be very much appreciated if you could try and pay by the end of each month. We do have a spreadsheet of outstanding payments on our system so

please call the office with any queries. I am having difficulty getting through on the phone to book,

is there another way to book? You can email us at [email protected]

please give us as many preferences as you want for core offer activities and ones you want to contribute towards. We will only accept emails sent during the period

the booking line is open. You will receive your confirmation letter afterwards. I forgot to call or email within the booking period

You can still call and email us after the booking period however you may find your preferences have all gone.

I am not sure if the activity is suitable for my child

Have a look at the symbols in the brochure and if you are still unsure call the office to get more information. Ages tend to be a guide only with the exception of Children

and Families Staffordshire who are limited to 10 as the upper age so if you think your child may enjoy an activity but don’t quite fit into the age range give us a call.

I have some concerns or suggestion, how do I pass them on to you?

We are very keen to hear your views please phone us or email us.
