There was a cute, littlerabbit named Steve. Heloved music so much thathe would spend hourslistening to his CD’s, andeven playing differentinstruments.

Some people knew aboutSteve’s musical abilities.He received an invitationto participate in a musiccontest, he realized thathe had been nominatedby a bird who wouldalways listen to himplaying. The winner ofthe contest would receivefree music lessons in aprestigious institution.

Steve was extremely goodat playing instruments,but he did not believe so.He asked help from hismusician friend themouse in preparing forthe contest. The mousetold him that he wouldnever win the contestbecause he did not havethe abilities needed to doso.

Steve seemed to lose any hope of winningthe contest or even improving his skills.

Steve became really sadand laid on the floorcrying. He thought that ifthe mouse said he wouldnever be a musician itmust be true. Her sistertried to help him out andconvinced him to keeppracticing.

Steve and his sister worked hard to find a song for him to play in the contest, theyfound the perfect one!

Steve practiced the song with differentinstruments to see which one would bebetter to play, he chose the violin. He evenpracticed playing in front of other animalsto avoid being so nervous during thecontest.

The day of the contest arrived! Steve’sfamily and closest friends were there tosupport him. Steve had never performedbetter before and easily won the contest,which allowed him to attend a great musicschool.

Steve and his family wereextremely proud of histalent and hard work.Steve learned not to letother animals’ opinionsdefine his ability to workhard and to onlysurround himself withanimals who will supporthim in accomplishing hisgoals.
