Stepping Into Internship Program - Position DescriptionThe Australian Network on Disability’s Stepping Into program is a paid internship scheme that matches talented university students with disability with roles in leading Australian businesses.

Position Duration
Minimum of 152 hours or 4 weeks full time
Commencing Dec 2019 – Jan 2020
Position Overview
Main Tasks
Supervised work from the Engage Legal queue (customer sales work);
Assisting with product exit automation project;
Paralegal support of commercial contracting including legal reviews and risk analysis of customer contracts, drafting amendments to contracts and supporting triage and allocation of work to the legal team.
Skills and Attributes
High level of attention to detail;
Strong time management skills;
Strong initiative;
Friendly and enthusiastic approach;
Excellent writing skills, including spelling, grammar and punctuation;
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and manage stakeholder’s expectations effectively;
Ability to work in a multi-functional but collaborative team;
Understanding of working with a highly confidential information.

Ideal Degree/Discipline
Law Degree or Double Degree with Law as the main discipline
Eligibility Requirements
Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
Australian citizens only
Identify as having disability
Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
