Stephen is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting. His diversified professional work experiences include; financial management experience working at Price Waterhouse and Helmholdt & Company, CPA’s. During this period Stephen assisted in the valuation of various businesses, determined estate planning opportunities and reporting requirements, performed due diligence on client business acquisitions, assisted in development, documentation, and measurement of company systems. It was Stephen’s strong financial leadership and expertise that led him to co-found Deem, Huizing & Associates, CPA’s. For twelve years Stephen acted as a contracted CFO assisting and guiding clients in the following areas: establishing and monitoring financial reporting systems, monitoring cash flow, preparing requests for bank financing, providing advice regarding insurance needs and assisting with personnel decisions. Stephen also led the development and delivery of profit improvement consulting, created performance metric systems that governed client’s decision making process and communicated financial and strategic level goals. Following the buyout of his accounting practice Stephen assisted Nordic Products Inc. in creating quality control measurements as the Director of Production, Planning and Logistics saving the company over $200,000 annually by reducing labor costs and utilizing effective management in contracting with 3 rd party companies. Stephen brings a strong operational and financial expertise to ROCG Americas with over two decades of advising businesses owners. His unique understanding of small to medium size businesses, business ownership and the challenges owners face are what makes Stephen such a valuable resource to ROCG’s clients. Stephen is married to Aime and they have five children, Riley, Sophie, Sadie, Audrey and Dylan. Stephen has served in various leadership capacities for multiple charitable and civic organizations. Stephen’s passions outside of business are coaching his children’s elementary school sports teams, attending their extracurricular events, reading, and history.
