Join Fr Replogle, Sj and Fr Rick Beuther for a special 3 day retreat at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington LI. The retreat will take place October 23, 24 and 25. Cost is only $200 which includes your private room and bath as well as 3 meals per day while we are there. There are rooms reserved for only 25 people. INDONESIAN MASS On the 4th Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in Indonesian at 3 p.m. in the chapel (Ithaca Street). Following the mass there’s always a reception in Heafey Hall. The next mass will be celebrated October 28 at 3 pm. All are welcome to attend. TAGALOG MASS On the 3rd Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in Tagalog for the Filipino community at 5pm in the chapel. The next mass will be celebrated on Sunday Oct 21. All are welcome to attend. BENGALI MASS On Sunday, November 4 Fr Francis will offer confessions at 4 p.m. followed by mass at 4:30 pm in Bengali. The mass will take place in the chapel. Following the mass there will be a reception in Heafey Hall. All are welcome to attend.

Envelopes are now available at the entrance of the
churches. Please fill out the names of all your beloved
dead. Place the envelope in any of the collection
baksets. The envelopes with the names of our dead
will be placed on our church altars during ther month
of November.

WILLS SEMINAR AND
NEUFELD FUNERAL HOME Do you have a will? A health care proxy signed?
A Power of attorney? Do you know where you will be
buried? These are not the easiest questions to ask—yet
they are very important to have answered. Everyone
should have their intentions written for their health, their
burial and distribution of treasures at your passing.
Neufeld Funeral Home will offer a presentation on the
possibility of “pre-arranging” your funeral and burial.
We will also have a Catholic attorney offer a
presentation on the importance of having a will, a power
of attorney and health care proxy. This special seminar
will be offered on Wednesday, November 7th in Heafey
Hall following the 9 a.m. mass. Light refreshments will
be served. Come and be informed and have your
questions and concerns answered.

enterrado? Estas no son las preguntas más fácil de
hacerse, sin embargo, es muy importante saber qué
hacer en estos casos. Cada uno debe tener sus
intenciones escritas para su salud, su entierro y la
distribución de sus bienes. La funeraria, Neufeld
ofrecerá una conferencia sobre la posibilidad de
"pre-organización" de su funeral y entierro. También un
abogado católico que hablara sobre la importancia de
tener un testamento, un poder de representación y de
atención de la salud. Este seminario especial se ofrecerá
el miércoles, 7 de noviembre en Heafey Hall, después de la
misa 9am. Se servirán refrescos. Vengan a informarse.
BIBLE STUDY Fr Francis offers time to study and pray the bible each Monday immediately after the 9 am mass in Heafey Hall. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn and grow in the faith.

DO YOU NEED A LETTER FROM YOUR CHURCH? In order to give letters of recommendation, letters attesting to character, sponsor certificates, and other documents that may have legal or religious purposes, it is required that persons requesting those documents be registered and be active members of St Bartholomew Parish at least three months prior to your request. We can not provide any of these documents to people not registered in the parish.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) There are two times every Saturday for confessions in the main church: 4 pm and 6:30 pm. Also Thursday at 6:30pm in the Chapel. We now have two priests assigned during these times to make it convenient and less time to wait. Please do your part…. come as close as possible to these confession times. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity of God’s mercy and love.
NECESITA UNA CARTA DE SU IGLESIA? Para poder otorgar cartas de recomendación, de buen carácter moral, como para ser padrinos de algún sacramento y documentos para propósitos legales o religiosos, se requiere que quienes necesitan estos documentos, estén inscritos y sean miembros activos de la Parroquia de San Bartolomé por lo menos tres meses antes de su solicitud. No podemos entregar ninguna certificación a las personas que no cumplan con estos requisitos.

COLLECTION Next weekend our young people will be
speaking at the masses and asking for our
continued generosity. We have 17 youth
preparing to go to the next World Youth
Day which will take place January 2019 in
Panama with Pope Francis. Next week the
second collection will be our opportunity as
a parish to assist and support them.
Please be generous. Envelopes are
available at the entrances on the church.

el próximo fin de semana, nuestros jóvenes
hablarán en las masas y pedirán nuestra
generosidad continua. Tenemos 17 jóvenes
que se preparan para ir a la próxima Jornada
Mundial de la Juventud que tendrá lugar en
Panamá en enero de 2019 con el Papa
Francisco. La próxima semana, la segunda
colecta será nuestra oportunidad como
parroquia para ayudarlos y apoyarlos.
