FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM

We are beginning our Faith Formation program. Over 900 children will attend classes each week here at St Barts. This is a wonderful blessing for our parish! We have classes on Tuesday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Many of the children will be attending mass at 10 am or 1130 am in English. Please…welcome them and make sufficient room. We will still do our best to accept children who are registered late- space is very limited. Unfortunately we will no longer be able to accept any new students. Please register as soon as possible! The Faith Formation Office will be open this week:

MASS BOOK / LIBRO DE MISAS 2019 The mass book for 2019 will open for new intentions on Tuesday, October 9 after the 9 a.m. mass. Masses are offered for those living or deceased. The offering for each mass is $15. On Saturday at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. we offer collective intentions which means we are able to take more than one intention for the mass. If you have any questions, please speak to one of the priests. El libro de misas para el año 2019 se iniciará el martes 9 de octubre, después de la misa de las 9am, para las nuevas intenciones. Las misas se ofrecen para las personas que viven o han fallecido. La oferta para cada misa es de $15. El sábado a las 5 pm y 7:30 pm ofrecemos intenciones colectivas lo que significa que se incluyen más de una intención para la misa. This weekend our young people will be speaking at the masses and asking for our continued generosity. We have 17 youth preparing to go to the next World Youth Day which will take place January 2019 in Panama with Pope Francis. Next week the second collection will be our opportunity as a parish to assist and support them. Please be generous. Envelopes are available at the entrances on the church.

Este fin de semana nuestros jóvenes estarán hablando en las Misas y pidiendo nuestra continua generosidad. Tenemos 17 jóvenes preparándose para ir a la próxima Jornada Mundial de la Juventud, que tendrá lugar en enero de 2019 en Panamá con el Papa Francisco. DO YOU NEED A LETTER FROM YOUR CHURCH? In order to give letters of recommendation, letters attesting to character, sponsor certificates, and other documents that may have legal or religious purposes, it is required that persons requesting those documents be registered and be active members of St Bartholomew Parish at least three months prior to your request. We can not provide any of these documents to people not registered in the parish.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) There are two times every Saturday for confessions in the main church: 4 pm and 6:30 pm. Also Thursday at 6:30pm in the Chapel. We now have two priests assigned during these times to make it convenient and less time to wait. Please do your part…. come as close as possible to these confession times. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity of God’s mercy and love.

NECESITA UNA CARTA DE SU IGLESIA? Para poder otorgar cartas de recomendación, de buen carácter moral, como para ser padrinos de algún sacramento y documentos para propósitos legales o religiosos, se requiere que quienes necesitan estos documentos, estén inscritos y sean miembros activos de la Parroquia de San Bartolomé por lo menos tres meses antes de su solicitud. No podemos entregar ninguna certificación a las personas que no cumplan con estos requisitos.

SACRAMENTO DE RECONCILIACIÓN (Confesión) Los sábados las confesiones en la iglesia principal son a las 4 pm y 6:30 p.m., también los jueves a las 6:30 pm en la capilla.
