• Focus Areas (FAs)– FA UC General Meeting on January 28, 2008 at Passenger
Terminal Amsterdam, organised by COB. The meeting was dedicated to presenting several on-going initiatives and to brainstorming on the future of the FA.
– FA CH CHRAF final meeting on February 27, 2008 at EC in Brussels (16 participants). The meeting was dedicated to the termination of the CHRAF Specific Support Action.
– FA QoL Core Group on July 9, 2008 at FIEC, Brussels (12 participants including 1 invitee from EC). The meeting was dedicated to updates of ECTP and QoL, organisation of the FA, interaction with FP7 projects, future calls, and preparation of the next FA QoL Plenary Assembly planned to take place in Brussels on September 11-12, 2008.
– FA C&B General Assembly on August 27, 2008 at BBRI, Brussels. The objective was to inform the FA Members about the new ECTP structure and the E2B JTI, to discuss about the FA Cities and Building’s SRA, and to establish the FA organisation.

• Advisory Groups (AGs) and Working Groups (WGs)– AG C&U organised its 8th meeting on March 18, 2008 at
G-4 EU Offices, Brussels (7 participants). The new structure and the role of “Clients and Users”, the JTI, the FP7 and a presentation of a preliminary scoping study relative to the research needs of the Built Environment Construction Industry, circa 2020 (UK NTP) were on the Agenda.
– No meeting was yet organised by AG SMEs in 2008 (last meeting in June 2007); a conference is however planned for the end of October. In collaboration with ECCREDI, an SME brochure was also prepared.
– WG on Standardisation and WG on R&D Infrastructures did not organize so far any meeting in 2008 (last meetings in December 2006 and January 2007).
