STATISTICA software installation guide
ATTENTION: Before you begin software installation, please make sure, that your computer has an
active Internet connection. STATISTICA requires license registration, which can be performed only
on-line. Furthermore, if you use Windows 8 operating system or later, you will probably need to
install software framework called .Net Framework 3.5. It can be found on installation disc in
“REDIST” file.
Before you begin installation, please fill on-line registration form, which can be found on a
page below:

Informations you enter in a form will be sent to license administrator to allow you software
use and to StatSoft Polska for registration purposes. Your personal data will not be shared and it will
be used only to inform you about courses, seminars and latest products of StatSoft.
Insert DVD disc with STATISTICA into your DVD drive. Installation wizard should start
automatically. If not, run CDSTART.exe file manually. It can be found on installation disc. In a window,
that will appear choose “Install STATISTICA”.
Installation Wizard will begin file preparation. When it will end, next window will appear.
Click on Next to move further.
In a next window type Serial Number and CD Key. You should receive it with installation disc.
ATTENTION: STATISTICA Installation Wizard recognizes capital and small letters. That is why all keys
should be entered with CAPITALS.
After filling those two fields, click Next and enter Time Key. It should be also with two
previous keys.
Click on Next when you finish.
Read licensing agreement. You will need to accept it to move on with installation process. In
other way, installation will be canceled. If you agree, select “I accept licensing agreement” and click
Next.
In a next window you will be able to select type of installation:
a) Standard installation will install mostly used components in default destination. This
type is recommended for for most users.
b) Custom installation will allow you to choose components to install and change
destination, where the program will be installed.
If you chose Standard installation, click Next button and skip to page number 7.
If you selected Custom installation, you will see a window from an image below:
In this window you will see a list of components, which you can choose to install. If you wish
any component to be installed, select its icon and choose “This component will be installed on a hard
drive” from the menu. If you do not want to install any component, click on its icon and select “This
function will not be available” from the menu.
By clicking „Change…” you will be able to change software files destination.
When you select all components, that you want to install and you will choose files
destination, click Next and skip to page number 8.
Now you will be asked to install ###. It is a package of movies, which present various
possibilities of STATISTICA. If you have enough place on your hard drive, we recommend you to
install it. In other way you will be able to watch them on a disc with STATISTICA files. Select one of
options and click Next.
Next window allows you to change the name of a file, which will contain STATISTICA
shortcuts in Start menu. Default name is presented on an image below:
Under file name field you can find a check box, which allows to place STATISTICA software
shortcut on your desktop. Depending on your personal preferences, choose to check or uncheck this
box and click Next.
Next step in installation process is registration of your STATISTICA copy in StatSoft. To do it
you have to fill all fields in a form. In other case installation will be canceled.
ATTENTION: In e-mail address field use your e-mail address from Kozminski University. In other way
you will not be able to finish installation. Appropriate address ends with @kozminski.edu.pl.
After filling the form, click Next. You should now see information like this:
ATTENTION: Remember, that you need to have an active Internet connection during installation
process of your STATISTICA software copy.
When you see a prompt from previous image, click OK. In a next window you will see
information, that registration is suspended. Email from [email protected] should be sent to your
KU Mailbox. It contains a link, which you should click on to finish registration.
In your web browser you will see a message, that your e-mail address was confirmed.
Now you can get back to install wizard and click Next. You should see an information, that
your license was registered properly.
When you click Install buton, program will begin to copy STATISTICA files to your hard drive.
When it is done, you will see a windows from image below. Click Finish to end whole process
and run STATISTICA. You can also uncheck box “Run STATISTICA” if you do not want to run a program
after installation.
Keys you received are valid until the September of every next year. In the beginning of every
September we receive from software distributor keys, that allow to extend current installation
activation period. You have to use the before the end the first half of October. If you will not do this,
keys become useless and you will have to perform software installation once again.
You can find all necessary keys on a page below in „Application keys” section. To gain access
to IT Department panel you can use the credentials, that you use to login to Virtual University.
If you will encounter any problems, please make sure, that:
Your computer is connected to the Internet
You entered all keys with capitals
You used e-mail address from KU in registration form ([email protected]).
