ACADEMIC COSTUMES

The significance of the costume is indicated es­pecially by the sleeves and the hoods. Doctors wear the round bell sleeves and a gold tassel on the cap. Masters wear the long, closed sleeves with a slit near the upper pan of the arm. Doctors of Veterinary Medicine wear full length and full sleeve with gray tassel on the cap. Bachelors wear the long, pointed sleeves.

Hoods are lined with the colors of the i.ostitution from which the wearer received his degree and are trimmed with velvet of the color indicative of the degree.
