2 January 2015Centenary of Halfdan RasmussenTwo stamps to mark the centenary of the birth of the Danish poet Halfdan Rasmus-sen. The two stamps show images from the poems “Bennys bukser brændte” (Benny’s trousers burned) and “Kanon-kongen Knold” (Cannon King Knold), which are both included in the Halfdans ABC collection. The images for the two stamps are by Ib Spang Olsen. They were designed by PostNord Stamps, engraved by Martin Mörck and printed using a com-bination of intaglio and offset.

2 January 2015ToysEvery year, the European postal compa-nies issue stamps with a common theme. This year, the theme is Toys, and the two Danish stamps both feature LEGO® bricks. The LEGO Group is the biggest toy manufacturer in Europe and a global market leader for construction toys. The stamps have been designed by PostNord Stamps and printed in offset.

2 January 2015Wadden Sea National ParkThe Wadden Sea National Park is one of three national parks in Denmark. The three stamps show a Texel sheep, a black-tailed godwit and a group of har-bour seals, which are all characteristic of the area. The stamps have been designed by PostNord Stamps, engraved by Bertil Skov Jørgensen and printed using a com-bination of intaglio and offset.

2 Januaryv 2015Red CrossThe charity stamp to raise money for the Red Cross is being re-issued in a new denomination. The stamp, which has been designed by Mads Quistgaard and printed in offset, was originally issued in 2014.

14 March 2015Danish InventionsFour stamps with images of four Danish inventions: the dry cell, the ready-mix concrete truck, the Long John delivery bike and the Hansen writing ball. 14 March 2015Danish DecorationsThe three stamps show the Order of the Dannebrog, the Medal of Merit and the Order of the Elephant, which HM Queen Margrethe is head of. The stamps, which in effect commemorate HM The Queen’s 75th birthday in 2015, have been desig-ned by PostNord Stamps, engraved by Bertil Skov Jørgensen and printed in a combination of intaglio and offset.

14 March 2015450th Anniversary of HerlufsholmDenmark’s biggest boarding school, Her-lufsholm, was founded in 1565 by Herluf Trolle and Birgitte Gøye. The 450th anni-versary of the foundation of the school is being commemorated with a stamp which has been designed by PostNord Stamps and printed in offset.

7 May 2015WWFFor the first time ever, PostNord is issuing a joint Danish-Swedish charity stamp. Revenue from the sale will be donated in full to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and its work to prevent climate change – more specifically the lights-off climate event “Earth Hour”. Graphic designers from the postal company’s joint Danish-Swedish design department have worked together on designing the charity stamp with the two different images. The stamp is printed in offset.

13 June 2015Centenary of Women’s SuffrageWhen women became entitled to vote for the Danish Parliament in 1915, it was the result of a long and brave battle for democracy and equality. The centenary is being commemorated with a stamp which has been created by Lise Malinovsky and shows a colourful take on the suffra-gette’s march in 1915. The stamps have been graphically prepared by PostNord Stamps and printed in offset.

13 June 2015Sailing ShipsThere is a proud tradition in Denmark for training sailors on training ships. The four stamps depict the two current training ships DANMARK and GEORG STAGE as well as the two older training ships KØBENHAVN and FULTON. 13 June 2015Stamp ArtThe “Stamp Art” series presents new works by recognised Danish artists. Jesper Christi-ansen is the artist behind the work Samos-vej 8, 2300 København S, Danmark, which is the image on this year’s stamp in the series. Bertil Skov Jørgensen has engraved the stamp, which is printed using a combi-nation of intaglio and offset.

13 June 2015Copenhagen Carpenters’ Guild 500 YearsTo commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Copenhagen Carpenters’ Guild, a stamp is being issued which bears the guild’s logo with an image of old carpen-try tools, and which has been designed by PostNord Stamps. Bertil Skov Jørgen-sen has engraved the stamp, which is printed using a combination of intaglio and offset.

2 January 2015Queen Margrethe IIIn connection with Post Danmark’s price update, the Queen Margrethe II defini-tive stamp series is being issued in new denominations. The definitive stamp se-ries of this type was first issued in 2010 to commemorate HM The Queen’s 70th birthday.
