Water Sector Transformation, a myth or an achievable dream?• Is transformation of the water sector needed and why can’t we live in business as usual?• How are we going to transform the sector and how much does it costs?• What is the transformation outcome and how will it looks like?• What benefit will we gain from the transformation?

The MEA is developing the Strategy Paper on Water Sector Transformation for the 12th Malaysia Plan (2021 – 2025). The 12th

Malaysia Plan will be the first phase of transformation towards 2040. Among the proposed main focus area will be:

1. Strengthening Governance of Water Sector at Federal and State Levels

2. Empowering People to Drive Water Sector Transformation

3. Enhancing Data-Driven Decision-Making for Sustainability

4. Strengthening Financial Capability to Support Water Sector
