HEATHER HAKEL COMES FROM A LONG LINE OF DECORATORS AND INTERIOR DESIGNERS. She is an artist and theatrical costume designer, and her eye for color, space, layout and detail result in beautifully detailed images and creations. As a former public and private school art teacher, she knows how to organize large projects within budget and on time. She has successfully staged 5 of her own homes to sell and has been designing, decorating and transforming living and working environments for clients, family and friends for 30 years.
Dark wallpaper, appliances and decor visually minimized this space. Textured cream paint was applied over the old wallpaper. Appliances changed, counters decluttered, and accessories from client's own collection used to create a continuous visual theme.
Outdated wallpaper and crowded furniture placements left this room a confusing jumble. The bedroom was transformed into a study by switching out furniture from other areas of the house. Wallpaper was replaced, lighting enhanced and décor updated.
Dated wallpaper, furniture and decor detracted from this space. Switched furniture from previous room, painted walls a warm cream, changed window treatments and decor to give this room a classic new look.
