Sportivate Plans for 14/15

Girls Get Active• An innovative idea that

aims to get more girls at Stafford College active. Feedback has shown that dance classes, ladies only gym sessions and boot camps will be popular.

Back to Netball• An informal and fun club

for girls to meet up and play netball.

• The participants could then feed into our BCS team.

Links to our CSP

• We work closely with SASSOT to help get more people active across the County.

• We are working together to create a stronger voluntary workforce.

• We implement Sportivate plans. • We are a new facility provider for SASSOT

Page 13: STAFFORD COLLEGE SPORTS DEPARTMENT

We are planning to become a Street Games provider. Local council cuts have affected Youth Services greatly in the area. We could help provide a service to keep more young people active.

Page 14: STAFFORD COLLEGE SPORTS DEPARTMENT

Employability LinksThrough the use of the LMT and work experience modules we have created strong links with local employers in the fitness and coaching industry.

All new sport students will acquire NGB coaching badges in their chosen sports.

Industry experts, past students and NGB officers to discuss employability routes with students.
