Gujarat State Road Transport Corp. is the one
big service corporation. It is regaled at Gujarat state
I.C.S. officer member from the public & shaft member
of the corporation.
Today this corp. is efficient at Asia level.
Before this corp. is efficient as obtained with
Bombay. Since 1953 it is handed by Gujarat state a
making progress.
The System Of the corporation is divided in to

INTRODUCTION OF G.S.R.T.C
The Divisional work-shop is spitted at Naroda
Patia area. this workshop covers the area of about 20
K.M.et
It is the open government buisness, whose
main goal is to maintain the S.T. buses on road and
also get ready the new buses to fulfill the
transportation requirements.
There are mainly 5 main shop and vastnumber of substations. There are all together 800
employees working there.

Reconditioning & maintenance of S.T. buses
are the main work of the workshop about 800
workers including Forman, Helpers, Art-A, Art-B, Art-
C, Diploma holder student, I.T.I. Student work in workshop.
ENGINE DISMENTLING
Mount engine on the work stand. Drain engine
oil is not drained while removing engine from the
vehicle remove the air cleaner.
Disconnect & remove the fuel pipe from the
feed pump to filter & from the fuel filter to the fuel
injector pump. Remove the fuel filter assembly.
Remove the air Compressor inlet house from the inlet
manifold.
PISTON CONNECTING RODPISTON- Piston is considered to be most important
part in a reciprocating engine in which it helps to
corner the chemical energy obtained by the
carburetion of fuel into useful mechanical power.

That material is aluminums Alloy & Cast iron.
Pistons are usually in diameter then the bore of
the cylinder & which is called the piston clearance.
Its Parts are following. 1. Comp. Ring
2. Oil Controlled Ring
3. Piston Pin
4. Connecting Rod
5. Crank Shaft
6. Fly Wheel
7. Valves
8. Cam-Shaft
9. Engine Assembly
AIR COMPRESSOR
The air compressor is reciprocating motion
piston type with train in the tin cylinder & driven

from camshaft operating test with compressor
running check for noisy operation & Oil leakage.

ELECTRIC SYSTEMThe electric systems most part is battery on this
battery we save the electric energy and start the
vehicles Engine, Head light, Inner Light, Horn, Fan,
A.C., Etc.

JOINTS
There are some metal joining process in this process
some are Hear Following.
UNIVERSAL JOINT:- It is used to make a flexible
connection between two rigid shaft at an angle with
each other. It transmits the power net only at an
angle but also while this angle is boiling carried
constantly cross type universal joint is used in
Leyland.
SLIP JOINT:- In this Leyland vehicle the slip joint is
mounted in U.J. of propeller shaft. The slip joint hasoutside spleens one shaft & machining internal
spleens on a mounting hollow shaft. The Spleens
Causes the shaft to rotate on. The Spleens causes
the shaft to rotate on array from the vehicle frame
this joint incorporated between the propeller shaft &
the U-Joint.
WHEELS & TYRES
The power developed by the engine has been

transferred through the clutch, gear box, propeller
shaft & diff. to the rear axle, wheels are connected to
the rear axles as the rear axle turns, wheels also turn
& vehicle moves on the road. The ultimate purposeof the power developed by the engine is to turn the
wheels so that vehicle moves on the road.
There is a Tyre recovery shop to when the Tyre
is full of wear and not a work sufficiently, thane a
plate of rubber and place of Tyre by full steam
pressure by using of boiler.
CHASIS & FRAME

DISCRIPTION:- The frame comprised of two parallel
side members built up with riveted cross member &
buts. The chasis identification is fixed to the side

member mid way between the axles on account
these plates should be replaced. To check the
alignment of the frame runs the vehicle on to the
hard level floor. Tester piece of paper on the floorunder each paints A As shown in fig. with plant lab
& line projects.
BODY BUILDING:-Give below is some of the
important paints to be taken neat of white mounting
bodies on the chassis.
The body cross member should be fitted on
the long member by U bolts should be suitable
speed the U bolts should be inter passed with
supporting metric space between top & bottom
flange of the side member to prevent distortion when
the U bolts are tighten. Dont use spaces made of
wood because of this is likely to shrink & drop out. If
would of this is be advisable packing piece for the
V clamp in order to prevent distortion of chassis
side.
It extra drill holes are drilled case should be
taken to drill all the new holes.
If the vehicle is working very bad condition
which required additional reinforcement of the from
approved should be obtained.
Bolt the fitches to the frame by additional bolts
& nuts using the existing holes on the frame.

MACHINING PARTS
In the work shop there are some of the
machines for the cutting, finishing, gladding,
threading, to the work piece on the machine of Lath,
Drilling, Threading, Milling, Cutter, etc. for making
the good material and good services for machining
the piston cylinder and engines some of parts made
by the machines.
It will be really useful to us and other people for
transportation to one place to another and it is really
great work for Gujarat.
