PRAYERS FOR FR. FRANK AND HIS TRAVELERS
FR. FRANK POLAND TRIP Fr. Frank and a group of fellow travelers will be leaving for Poland on Monday, May 20th and are due to return on Monday, June 3rd. While Fr. Frank is away, we will be using alternative Mass schedules at St. Stanislaus and St. Victor (Weekend Schedule): Mondays: No Mass Tuesdays: Communion Service with Jesse Lindner Wednesdays: Daily Mass with Fr. Duda Thursdays: Communion Service with Jesse Lindner (May
23rd) and Ernie DeWinne (May 30th) Fridays: Daily Mass with Fr. Duda The weekend Mass Schedule remains the same with Fr. Andrew Kafara as celebrant. However, Fr. Duda will cel-ebrate the 4:00PM Mass on Sunday, June 2nd.
Please keep them in your prayers.
EASTER REFLECTION In today’s passage taken from John’s Gospel, Jesus tells us that if we love him, we will keep his word. He also tells us that the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in his name, will teach the Apostles, and by extension today’s leaders of the Church, all that they need to know and re-mind them of all that Jesus said. The Holy Spirit is the one who guides the Church through the perils of this world. And, since it is the Holy Spirit who guides the Church and we are a part of the Church, then the Holy Spirit guides each of us as well. Our reading from the Acts of the Apostles relates one of the ways that the Holy Spirit guided the Church in its infancy. The early church leaders (the Apostles) needed to resolve a disagreement. Through prayerful discussion, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they found the solution. That is exactly how the Church operates today. It is also how we should ap-proach each day of our lives; prayerfully listening to the Holy Spirit acting in our lives to gently guide us to heaven. So, as we continue our walk with the Risen Lord through this Easter Season, invite the Father to send the Holy Spirit to help you to understand the Father’s will for you.
ST. VINCENT de PAUL APPRECIATION The Society of St. Vincent de Paul wishes to thank the Knights of Columbus and the Parishioners for their recent contributions to the Forty Cans for Lent Project. Under the leadership of the Knights, and their generosity, to-gether with our parishioners, the project put over 2000 pounds of non-perishable foods into our SVdP pantry to be distributed to the less fortunate and hungry of Ban-dera County. Without the thoughtfulness of all of you, we would not be able to help so many. May God bless and keep you in His loving care.
THE BIBLE AND THE SACRAMENTS Our next study is The Bible and The Sac-raments. This study examines the sacraments of the Catholic faith. We will investigate the deeper mysteries the sacraments contain as illuminated by scripture. The Bible and The Sacraments look at each sacrament indi-vidually, seeking to understand where they come from, what they mean, and why they are so very important and foundational to our Catholic faith. As before, we will offer Monday evening and Tuesday morning sessions starting June 24 from 6:00PM-7:00PM and June 25 from 9:00AM-10:00AM for 6 weeks. The workbook for this class is $12.00. There is an option-al supplemental book also (available as e-book, paper-back, and hardback) that may be purchased individually or through registration. The additional cost for the option-al book varies depending on choice. Please contact Melinda Lindner at 830-460-4712 or [email protected] to register.

MEMORIAL DAY Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th is a day of remem-brance to honor those who have given their lives through military service. While most use this day as a celebration to kick off summer, we ask that you take a few moments to remember our fallen brothers and sister. The Parish Office will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
SECOND COLLECTION ~ PRIEST PENSION PLAN At all Masses next weekend June 1st/2nd there will be a sec-ond collection for the retired diocesan priests, also know as the Priest Pension Plan. This worthy fund ensures that priests who have generously dedicated their lives in service of God’s people may be able to live in retirement with dignity and care. Please be generous to this second collection next weekend.
