MY EXPERIENCE IN PANAMA

The week of pilgrimage at

World Youth Day in Panama was truly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ev-er had. It was a great oppor-tunity for me to reinforce my relationship with God through mass, prayer, music, the Sacrament of Reconcilia-tion and communication with other catholic youth. A mes-sage that really stuck with me

was that “God is my Strength.” It is a message that all youth should consider in times of hardship and know that God will guide us and help us. I feel that I have been able to also think and learn more about the mis-sion that God has given me and hope to start living according to that mission.

PRAYING FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIA-TION IN NICARAGUA AND VENEZUELA.

Almighty God, you, who sent your only Son into the world, to save us from sin and suffering, look with merciful eyes to your

children in Venezuela and Nicaragua. Help them to stop the violence in the silence of prayer, to find the Peace and Reconciliation to destroy their pride, and learn to serve one another. To empty their souls of hatred and intolerance, and turn weapons into instru-ments to adore you, and sing you praises.

Cover the words of their political leaders with the shadow of the Holy Spirit, so that they do not lie to those who trust in their decisions, so that they learn to listen and to understand others. Illuminate the hearts of your Nicaraguan and Vene-zuelan children so that Love and Justice shine in their people. Amen.

MI EXPERIENCIA EN PANAMA

La semana de peregrinación

en la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud en Panamá, fue ver-daderamente una de las expe-riencias más increíbles que he tenido. Fue una gran oportuni-dad para reforzar mi relación con Dios a través de la misa, la oración, la música, el Sacra-mento de la Reconciliación y la

comunicación con otros jóvenes católicos.

Un mensaje que realmente se quedó conmigo fue que "Dios es mi fortaleza". Es un mensaje que todos los jóvenes debemos tener en cuenta en momentos de difi-cultades y saber que Dios nos guiará y nos ayudará. También he podido pensar y aprender más sobre la misión que Dios me ha dado y espero comenzar a vi-vir de acuerdo con eso.

misericordiosos a tus hijos e hijas en Venezuela y Ni-caragua, ayúdalos a detener la violencia en el silencio de la oración, a encontrar la Paz y la Reconciliación que destruya su orgullo y aprendan a servirse los unos a los otros, a vaciar su alma del odio e intolerancia y convertir las armas en guitarras para adorarte y cantar tus alabanzas.

Cubre con la sombra del Espíritu Santo las palabras de sus dirigentes políticos, para que no mientan a aquellos que confían en sus decisiones, para que aprendan a escuchar y a entender a los demás.

Ilumina los corazones de tus hijos Nicaragüenses y Venezolanos para que el Amor y la Justicia brillen en sus pueblos. Amen.
