Blue Stampede Fundraising Event Canceled

The St. Mike’s Foundation had to cancel the 2020 Blue Stampede event due to Covid 19. Thanks to a number of generous sponsors and ticket buyers who graciously switched their purchases to donations, the Foundation has retained $42,500 in Blue Stampede contributions.

But this $42,500 has put us only at the half-way mark of last year’s Blue Stampede $85,000 net revenues. In order to fund students at the same rate as last year, we need your help.

Please donate today so that lower income students may attend St. Mike’s. Your assistance will also help maintain admission levels so the school may survive this chal-lenging time.

Mail your check today or do-nate online at stmikesfounda-tion.org/give to help shape more diverse students to be tomorrow’s leaders.

Since the Foundation is unable to have a fundraising event this year, your contribution is needed now more than ever. Please give.

Wishing you a safe, healthy and less socially distant year ahead.

Sincerely,

Maureen MacLellan Ayers

Executive Director and your St. Mike’s Foundation Board

Providing Opportunities for a Quality Education

Please remember St. Mike’s Foundation in your will.

Selfless supporters have donated ticket and sponsorship purchases totaling $42,500, which is half of what we netted at last year’s Blue Stampede. Please ask your family, friends and neighbors to make a donation so the St. Mike’s Foundation can fund students at the same level as last year.

Dear St. Mike’s Community:

It is with deep sadness that I

retire from the St. Mike’s Foun-

dation Board. I have been in-

volved with the Foundation for

30 years, which has assisted many

students with financial assistance

since 1990.

As a result of the Foundation,

many students received the assis-

tance needed to graduate from St.

Michael’s High School and

moved forward to improve their

lives.

Throughout the years, I have

been honored to work for a wor-

thy cause and with dedicated

persons of the Foundation who

showed commitment, enthusiasm

and perseverance in building the

Foundation to the highest level

of professionalism of which a

non-profit stands for.

Thank you for your friendship,

laughter, enthusiasm and love. I

wish you all continued success in

making a difference one student

at a time.

Best regards and much love,

Lourdes Lopez

In recognition of Lourdes

Lopez’s 30 years of dedicated

service, the St. Michael’s High

School Foundation Board has

honored their fellow board mem-

ber with the St. Mike’s Founda-

tion Angel Award on her retire-

ment from the board.

For 16 of the 30 years served, Lourdes served as the Founda-tion Secretary and on the Execu-tive Committee. For all 30 years, her fellow board members en-joyed her special brand of humor and that mischievous twinkle in her eye.

If you would like to make a dona-

tion to honor Lourdes Lopez’s

30 years of dedicated service to

the St. Mike’s Foundation board,

please send your donation to:
