As you will be aware, the St Mary’s Term 1 swimming program commences in Week 2 for all students from Prep to Year 10 as per the following timetable:

Dates Week 2 commencing Monday 5 February to Week 8 commencing Monday 20 March.

Travel All students will travel on a bus to and from the pool.

Program The swimming program is delivered by Amy Brennan and her swimming tutors for students in Prep to Year 6 and is focused on learn to swim, stroke development and water safety. The swimming program for Secondary School is facilitated by Mrs Abbie Rose and Mr Bevin Goodes in conjunction with Amy Brennan as part of our Health and Physical Education curriculum.

Swim Wear Each year level will be advised by classroom teachers as to what the procedure will be around changing in and out of togs and what to bring to lessons.

The permission letter below needs to be completed and returned to the school office no later than Monday 3 February. Each student will need to complete a separate form. We are looking forward to a great term of swimming for our students. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact your classroom teacher or myself.

I give permission for my child/children to attend swimming lessons at Goondiwindi Pool during Term 1 and Term 4. I consent to my child/children traveling on a charter bus to and from the pool or walking under the supervision of St Mary’s staff.
