The 2018 Festival will run from 24 February to 7 March.

This year’s Festival Syllabus offers a wide range of competitions in theperforming arts through speech, drama, dance, song and music.

You will notice there are changes to this year’s syllabus reflecting thechanging requirements of the Festival competitors. A few classes havebeen removed from the syllabus due to lack of interest over the past coupleof years. A new open class for strings has been added. If we have removed aclass that you would have entered this year please get in touch and if wereceive three or more entrants for that class we will consider reinstating it.

The closing date for receipt of entries is 20 November 2017.Own choicemusic pieces must be received by 20 January 2018. Late entries will only beaccepted at the discretion of the Festival Chairman and are subject to a lateentry fee. Once entries have been accepted, fees paid by entrants whowithdraw may not be refunded.

The Premier Competitions will be held on Thursday 8 March 2018 inInverness Town House.

When considering entering the Festival please bear in mind that yourperformance is an expression of your ability. Your performance is moreimportant than whether you win or not. It is the taking part that counts. The Festival is for everyone who has a passion to perform and we hope thatour Festival can give you that platform.

The Inverness Music Festival is changing to reflect the changing life in ourcity. Please support the 2018 Festival and help it grow and move forward toour centenary in 2022.Jean [email protected]
