Fr. Bill’s Christmas Greeting As the season of Advent comes to a close and our Christmas celebration begins, my hope is your Advent has been one of discovering and nurturing the hope and compassion of Christ. Here is wonderful prayer of transition from Advent to the Mystery of Christmas.
A Christmas prayer written early in the 12th century by St. Bernard of Clairvaux: Let your goodness, Lord, appear to us, that we, made in your image, may conform ourselves to it. In our own strength we cannot image your majesty, power and wonder; nor is it fitting for us to try. But your mercy reaches from the heavens, through the clouds, to the earth below. You have come to us as a small child, but you have brought us the greatest of all gifts, the gift of your eternal love. Caress us with your tiny hands, embrace us with your tiny arms, and pierce our hearts with your soft, sweet cries.

WANTED: ENGLISH PRACTICE FACILITATOR
There is an opening for an additional facilitator for the weekly English Practice Class on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. This class is one of three classes held at St. Mark Parish for any non-English speaking persons. Classes begin January 8. Please contact Ginny O’Brien with any questions and to volunteer for this rewarding ministry.

GIFTS FOR BABY JESUS: “Little Children” of the parish, are asked to bring a blanket for baby Jesus to any of the Christmas Masses and place it by the Manger before or after Mass. All of these blankets will be donated to Birthline to swaddle the babies of mothers who are in need to keep their babies warm this winter. (Onesies, diapers, sleepers, and pacifiers are also needed...or small hand toys). Thanks so much from St Mark’s Pro Life Committee.
Early Bird Pre-Kindergarten Registration is Now Open! Registration for St. Mark Catholic School 2019-2020 Pre-Kindergarten program is now open for those children age 4 by August 1, 2019. Our Pre-K program is a full day, 5 days a week program and follows our normal school schedule. The registration fee for Pre-K is $200. You may register in the school office or by emailing Mr. Albertson at [email protected].
