A Note from the Administrator...

P. Mike

Dear friends,

Queridos amigos,

Una nota del Administrador...

Today is the feast of Christ the King, when Catholics acknowledge that God has given all empires, the liv-ing, the dead, our own lives and the lives of those we love … to His Risen Son, Jesus of Nazareth. And next week begins Advent. During these 4 holy weeks we acknowledge that this climax of creation, sin, suf-fering, redemption and sanctification is already in the mail: Jesus is on His way to begin the new heaven and the new earth. In the end, we can put up with almost any suffer ing because we know “it won’t last forever.” Nothing lasts forever except this Jesus and his reign. Advent will be special in our parish for another reason. We will finally enter the final and public phase of our cap-ital campaign to renovate our church, reseal and light our parking lots, redo and update our school, create great outside gathering spaces and provide a significant alms for the needy. Most of you have probably already heard of REBUILD, REFRESH, RENEW. I’m hoping everyone joins in this final holy effort to provide for a vi-brant Catholic presence here in the decades ahead.

Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike
