A diocesan meeting was held this past week to
share additional information about the Uniting-in-
Heart plan.
The news we heard in regard to St. Joseph Church
was encouraging, and it was noted in the
presentation that our message was heard.
Indications are that an Administrator will be
assigned with 50% of his time dedicated to BOTH
Attica and Covington and the other 50% to another
diocesan role. A transition team will meet with
church personnel beginning in November, and
plans will be developed by March.
Announcement of clergy assignments will be made
by the end of March. It was noted that 80 % of
priests will be reassigned. Implementation of the
plan along with the new pastor will be in place by
June 29, 2020.
Updates will be available on-line as well as in The
Catholic Moment. You can find links to both of
these on our parishes’ website,
stfrancisxstjoseph.org.
Thank you for your prayers and continued support!
