October 25, 2015 Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Dear Parishioners and Friends: Jesus Said, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied, “Master, I want to see.” [Mark 10:51] Jesus teaches most profoundly when he calls us to conversion. The purpose of good questions is for us to arrive at place that is different from where we started. So how do you answer the question? Jesus supplies many more questions than he does give answers be-cause this is the way of faith formation and discipleship. The saints are those who see God at work every-where and join in that great work. We will honor them next weekend with a special Children’s liturgy on Satur-day night. We want to teach our children our Catholic faith through sharing the lives of the saints as examples of Christian living. PLEASE talk with your children about what saints have made a difference in your life. Last Sunday we had a marvelous Mass at Lake Laura Walker with a feast that followed and so many games and prizes that we wore each other out having a good time. Thanks to everyone who made it such a wonderful success.

Queridos Feligreses y Amigos: Jesús dijo, “¿Qué quieres que haga por ti?” El hom-bre ciego contesto, “Señor, que vea.” [Marcos 10:51] Jesús enseña más profundamente cuando él nos llama a la conversión. El propósito de una buena pregunta es para que lleguemos a un lugar diferente de donde co-menzamos. Así que, ¿cómo contestas a esta pregunta? Je-sús hace muchas preguntas y da pocas respuestas porque éste es el camino de la formación de fe y discipulado. Los santos son aquellos que ven a Dios trabajando en todas partes y se unen a ese gran trabajo. Honraremos a los santos el próximo fin de semana con una liturgia de Niños especial el sábado por la noche. Queremos enseñar a nuestros niños sobre nuestra fe Católica por medio de com-partir la vida de los santos como ejemplos de vida Cristia-na. POR FAVOR hablen a sus niños acerca de que santos han tenido un puesto importante en sus vidas. El domingo pasado tuvimos una Misa maravillosa en el Lago Laura Walker seguida de una fiesta con muchos juegos y premios hasta que nos cansamos unos a los otros teniendo un buen tiempo. Gracias a todos los que hicieron posible ese éxito maravilloso.

Eucharistic Minister Training continues this Wednesday night, Oct 28, in the parish hall at 7:15 PM. Even if you are not planning on becoming an EM, you may find this re-flection on the Eucharist to be up-building for your faith and you are welcome to come and sit in.
El Entrenamiento de Ministros de Eucaristía continuará este, miércoles 28 de Oct. en el salón parroquial a las 7:15 PM. Aun si usted no planea ser un ministro MEx, puedes encontrar que estas reflexiones sobre la Eucaristía aumentaran tu fe y estas bienvenido a venir y oír.

We, the multicultural faith community of St. Joseph’s Parish, gather un-der the guidance of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Word of God through prayer, sacrament, and service. We seek to nourish our commitment with faith formation, hospitality, and stewardship, while always striving to embrace the cross of the needy.
Todos los Santos/Todas las Almas: Durante los últimos días de octubre, nos preparamos para celebrar nuestra relación con aquellos que se han ido antes que nosotros a la vida eterna. Los familiares y amigos difuntos no nos olvidan y nosotros no los olvidamos. El amor de Dios nos une a ellos para siempre. Expresamos esto en varias formas: #1. Escribiendo los nombres de aquellos que han fallecido desde el año pasado en nuestra Lista Para Todos Los Santos para el 2015 [en el tablero de anuncios]; ellos serán leídos en las oraciones de todas las Misas el próximo fin de semana.
#2. Traiga sus imágenes/fotos de todos sus familiares y amigos difuntos y los colocaremos enfrente del altar hasta Thanksgiving para recor-darlos. (Este seguro de ponerle nombre en caso de que se olviden de recogerlos).
#3. Escriba los nombres de todos los difuntos, que usted quiere recordar durante las misas especiales durante los últimos días del año de la iglesia, en la parte de afuera del sobre de Todas las Almas. Estos nombres serán leídos en voz alta durante las misas de la semana. Si usted desea dar una donación, como es costumbre, a Panes y Peces (los pobres), esta será entregada a ellos en la semana.
Stewardship Needs: Liturgical roles are critical for helping our celebrations be vital and life-giving to the community of faith. We need more Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Servers. Please see Fr. Bob if you can help in any of these ministries.

Altar Servers Meeting and practice will begin after the 1 0:30 Mass today, October 25, with a Pizza Party in the Parish Hall at noon. Eat pizza, enjoy friends and stay for the practice right after we eat 12:30 – 1:30 PM.

All Saints/All Souls: During the later days of October, we prepare to celebrate our relationship with those who have gone
before us into eternal life. Deceased relatives and friends do not forget us and we do not forget them. The love of God unites us to them forever. We express this is several ways: #1. Writing the names of those who have died since this time last year on our All Souls List for 2015 [on the bulletin board]; they are read out in the prayers at all the Masses next weekend.
#2. Bring images/photos of our deceased relatives and friends to church and we place them before the altar until Thanksgiving to re-member them. (Be sure to have your name written on them in case you forget to pick it up).
#3. Write the names of all the deceased you want us to remember during the special Masses during the last days of the church year on the front of the All Souls envelopes. These name are read out loud at weekday Masses. If you wish to make a donation to Loaves and Fishes (the poor) as is the custom, that will be given to them within the week.

your help to become Catholic. We need you to become “more Catholic” as well! We meet on Tuesday

RCIA will meet this Tuesday, October 27, at 7:15 PM in the par ish hall. This is the Tenth Session in the new series for those who wish to join the Catholic Church or to return to the basics of their faith journey with new in-sight and return to the sacraments. Our focus is on how the “Word becomes flesh” in the lives of the saints. All are welcome!

All Saints Pageant and Competition will be at the 6 PM Mass on Halloween, October 31, with three $50 Walmart card prizes for the first place winners of each age group. See the poster on the bulletin board for more details. Bring your little saint to share their story at the special Children’s Liturgy that Saturday night.

The Father John Hillman Council of the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph Catholic Church in
Waycross;
will celebrate its annual commemorative Mass for the deceased member of our council. This will be
the 6:00 p.m. Mass, Saturday December 12th. Please mark this on your calendar and join us so we can
sit together as a sign of solidarity and respect for our former brothers. John Pfaff, Grand Knight
Loaves and Fishes Sunday is November 1, 2015-Please remember to bring your food donations to Mass

Thanksgiving Celebration! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and that means Thanksgiving dinner and Communion service on Thanksgiving Day.
