The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ — June 18, 2017

Today we are gathered at Eucharist to celebrate the mean-ing of the Eucharist. Today’s solemnity is called the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Let us pay particular atten-tion to the words and gestures at today’s Mass, and when it comes time for Communion, let approach the altar with joy in our hearts and gratitude for this gift of the Eucharist.

Our Sunday offering for the weekend of June 11, 2017 was $9,634. Thank you for your generous offering.

St. Joseph Parish is seeking a part-time maintenance per-son to become part of the parish team. This person will perform general maintenance tasks as well as provide cus-todial support. Skills in carpentry, plumbing and other re-lated areas are beneficial. To apply, please pick up an appli-cation at the parish office. Position is open until filled.

We would like to wish a happy Father’s Day to all the fa-thers in our parish. Thank you for the love and dedication you give to your children. May God our merciful Father con-tinue to guide you in all you do.

You are invited to join Fr. Renier on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land March 6-15, 2018. The cost is $3549 per person from San Francisco. Walk where Jesus walked. Cruise the Sea of Galilee. Visit Nazareth. Climb the Mount of Olives and view the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity. For a brochure or more information contact the parish office at 447-2354 or email Fr. Renier at [email protected].

This week our parish will be hosting a Vacation Bible School. Let us pray for the children who will be attending as they come to know our mother Mary better through prayer and fun activities!

Love requires a creative, concrete response. Good inten-tions are not enough. The other is not a statistic, but a per-son to take care of.
